Reminds me of one of Dave Berg’s Lighter Sides from Mad magazine. The kid comes running in with a skinned knee: “Mommy, I got a boo-boo!”
Mom offers to kiss it to make it better. “But first,” Mom says, “Mommy will wash it, then spray it with an antiseptic spray, then put a nice bandage over it.” With all that done, she says, “Now Mommy will kiss it.”
The kid replies, “Oh, no — you’re not getting your germs all over my nice clean boo-boo.”

I would kiss my daughters’ bumps and boo-boos, and then tell them to sit down in the Big Chair and close their eyes, to give the kiss time to work.
