First congratulations, Fred! Woohoo! I do think your company knows Dear wasn’t the Best In Show basset who won the cup. Dear does seem very proud. Let’s just assume he’s very proud of you
Fred, we just knew you would be the best one❣️ Now, please don’t get too hoity-toity towards Jock and Jorky and your other friends. ;-) Remember, you won’t like it in the future when they will win and then will strut around, noses held high..
(Oh dear, this is really confusing with using the correct times with these older strips long after the newer strips occuring as “new” strips- at least for me who never saw the older strips so they are new ones… Feed’s life and memory must be twisted very much. Sometimes he must have a real turmoil in his head not getting straight what was, have been or will be when exactly. ;-p )
Hence, the expression “Riding on someone’s coattails”…..
From the ’net…..
“When you’re on the coattails of someone else, you’re enjoying success because of the association. Often, the success is not earned. An old-fashioned type of jacket has coattails that extend to the ground. If someone sat on your coattails, you could drag them around, giving them a ride.”
Hard to believe that they won with all the negativity. And excuse me, but your average show dog takes a heck of a lot of care. Fred couldn’t have done it without Mr. Dear!
I wonder what may be wrong: I only get yesterday’s strips everywhere- no new ones. Usually the new ones are here shortly after 7 a.m. Does anyone else have the same problem?

That’s what I always think when the humans accumulate in the winner’s circle after a horse race and you can barely see the one who WON THE RACE!
