I worked three days a week for Navy Civil Service. It drove my boss crazy that I did not go to the staff meetings. She complained to her boss. I told him I had limited time and lots of work to do in those three days. He just said, “Yeah, I thought it was something like that.” Drove my boss crazy.
Talked to a small businessman who could not understand why his part-time employees weren’t as loyal as his full-time employees. Especially the ones whom he cut back from full-time to part-time (and in the process also cut off all of the company benefits they used to get).
