My late boy LOVED q-tips. Trash cans were no match for him, many upset cans, many used q-tips found in randomly around the house.
My guys love Q-Tips. If I get one out for myself, they will actually swat it out of my hand so they can chase it and toss it.
Watercolor brushes are probably safer than Q-tips. Cats can worry the tips off.
