I have a friend from another country and she’s lived here 25 years. She freaks out at stuff that’s barely noticeable. If I think I felt an earthquake, I check her facebook page.
I lived in Santa Cruz through Loma Prieta and all the aftershocks. Tremors were so common that my cat and I would look at each other and, if neither of us bolted for the door, we went on with what we were doing.

When I can estimate magnitudes off the top of my head and guess the epicenter? Maybe. Still better than hurricane and tornado SEASONS

I understand that Oklahoma hardly ever had earthquakes until they started fracking for oil there, and now they’ve got at least 50 a year.
