I had a similar experience years ago, when I was single and living in an apartment. I invited the chap in, but as I was busy working on posters for an upcoming club social event that week, I took him to my work area (quite messy, I’ll admit). Once he sat down and started his spiel, I jumped up and said, “I need a beer! Would you like one?” He was out of there like a shot!
I had just pulled in from shopping and a big black van pulled up behind me. I turn around and there are 6 women getting out of the car and I knew what they wanted! I turned around and I said thank you for coming over but I have my own religion and I’m not interested and I’m very busy right now and I turned my back and went into the house. They never came back.
