I came on a bicycle.

Years ago I needed surgery. The hospital asked how I was getting home. The look on their faces when I told them I was taking the City Bus was priceless! But… I was sincere.

" I really wish I could help you but I am not in the preferred provider network you will have to walk"

Hm, your ride will cost… How much is my bill?

The silver lining here is that by asking that question, the doctor is saying that you are going to survive the removal of that wart.

My Tesla’s low on charge and the hospital charging station is broken. No charge to you.

On the table and prepped for surgery is not the time to be asking that question.

As a surgeon he should be able to afford a Lyft/Uber ride home. And a second car.
