It’s my neurosis to feel that way about every show. If I happen to catch a stray episode (e.g., because a friend is watching it), and I enjoy it, I have to go hunt down the series from the start. Fortunately, the various cable channels that show an episode a day, as well as various internet sources, make this much easier than it used to be.

Meh. If I’m not entertained by an out-of-sequence/context episode, I doubt I’d be entertained by the series in sequence.

Once many shows became ten hour movies. Whatever happened to something happens, there are setbacks, things are resolved… all in an hour?
