Well you offered, he said no… so listening to him would also increase points too. There we go.

Adam, don’t annoy Katy! You might end up being in her first short story!

When I was a kid, a playmate and I were coloring in a coloring book. When he showed his work to his grandmother, asking, “Isn’t this pretty?”, the old b!tch snapped his head off for going outside the lines! I remember being relieved that I stayed inside the lines.

Why not just let her do the baseboards in her own bedroom, Adam?

“Impressionist?” Katy, I think the words you’re really looking for are ABSTRACT “artist.”

He finally said no, but whether she pays attention is another question.

On Pooch Cafe the comments were about Picasso and Dali and who painted the ugly lady.

My parents gave my sisters and me an allowance. When I was little (remember this is the 1950s) I got a penny a week allowance. This amount grew as I got older, prices increased, and I was suppose to buy specific types of things with it. As a result of this I became very good at managing money (then again, I am an accountant in a family of accountants) – which allowed my husband to quit his job in his mid 50s when he was burned out at work.

He did not get an allowance – if he wanted something and his parents agreed he got it, if they did not – he did not get the item. No training at all in managing money when he was young against when he was grown. (So, yes, I am in charge of our money.)
