With my kids when they were younger, we tried coal, they used them on the snowman. Then we threaten them with underwear and socks. That worked.

Oxygen, Hydrogen, CO2 and maybe a little Methane Hydrogen Sulfide gives it fragrance.

Why not diamonds? They are also carbon.
