He’s right. Gift bags are a gift to the giver as well as the receiver. Just get some of that tissue paper (comes in all colors) and wrap the present in that, and put it in the gift bag. Easy peasy.

Makes sense. And you can use them after the holidays, too.

I wish I’d invested in some gift bags this year. I’m just too tired to wrap, and yet I must wrap these five gifts!

I go out of my way to wrap messy. Cover any spot you think is ugly with curly ribbon and bows and fans folded from old wrapping paper. For some presents I perforate the paper in the middle all the way around. make loop handles with ribbon and put on the tag “Pull the ends.” The wrapping tears away clean and the present plops out in their lap. My style is anarchic and people laugh and love it.

as a kid I remember shaking the box, trying to guess what was inside, an’ then tearing into the wrapping paper was half the fun!

Gift wrapping is right up there with shoe tying – if you can’t master that you’re not fit to procreate.

Good for man, woman, and child, and they are reusable.

Gift bags – my solution always and I am good at wrapping. I saw a video of the Japanese way of wrapping gifts. Next time.

What you get is how you see it wrapped. I don’t have the patience for wrapping or gift bags.

Having a 9 year old around, I went back to some wrapping this year. We don’t get real fancy with anything holiday so that seemed like a small thing. Some gift bags. Some cards. Fa la la la la…
