I don’t understand this. Is Janis adding or removing the ornament? Why does Arlo object to either?

I know a couple of people that have multiple trees and leave them up all year.

Arlo has two kitties to deal with.

Bad girl. Leave the nice tree alone.

Ludwig can now play with the tree?

Arlo needs the help of George of the Jungle. Someone who can watch out for that tree.

Is that the cat shedding or the tree shedding?

I had to laugh at Ludi – his enjoyment playing with the tree, and then bewilderment as Arlo carries him out of the room

I got the opposite impression. I thought Janis was still decorating, because of the smile on her face. Kind of a cute juxtaposition, Luddie taking ornaments off, and Janis putting them on… ☺

Arlo wants to enjoy the afterglow for a while.

Our family tradition was to leave the tree up and lit until New Years Day or when Valentines candies showed up on store shelves, whichever comes first.

Looks like Arlo wants some company.

My mother ran a day care when I was growing up. We didn’t take down the Christmas decorations until everyone in the daycare agreed. One year they stayed up until mid March. ♥

What little I still put out comes down Christmas afternoon or night. A Christmas tree looks lonely as can be with nothing under it.

My mom always took the tree down on New Years day during the Rose Bowl parade on TV. She liked to multi-task. I kept the tradition.

12 days of Christmas, Janis!

I trust she is adding ornaments. December 26th is only the 2nd day of Christmas. Christmas runs to January 5th.

What if we just had year round holiday trees, and decorated them for each season or holiday? Little artificial ones, like table top size? Or outdoors. I don’t know if it’s a New England thing or an every where thing but there are quite a few folks here who hand plastic Easter eggs on their front yard trees.

Not Until the 12th day of Christmas on January 6……

My team had a terrible year. When the aren’t in the playoffs, I tend to root for the four teams that have never been in a Super Bowl. As a long time Saints fan, I know how that feels! So, go Lions and Texans! The Browns and Jaguars didn’t make the playoffs this year.
