Nobody told me that I shouldn’t drink the perfume

So what is the reason for the stew

They said not to wear it

Nor to break the pretty bottles

And what they told me not to do

Is what I didn’t do

they cannot say

So why are they hollering this way

And just like Mommy’s darling

I was careful to obey
