I am somehow reminded by this of a Grateful Dead show at Alpine Valley in ‘82. My buddy Bob & I been there a while, so our heads were, as the song says, in sparkling glory. Car parks beside us & out gets this…..vision. Medium height, lithe build, lovely face, killer legs, golden-brown hair to her waist. She’s wearing ’60s-Cher eye makeup, a plain white T-shirt, jeans cut off as short as possible then split up the side seams to the waist band, knee-high fringed suede moccasin boots, and – on her right hand, an over-the-elbow purple satin opera glove with the fingers cut off.
Says Bob “Oh, man, the glove is too much!” And I replied “No, Bob – the glove is just enough!”.
43 years later we will still sometimes toast that girl (now an old lady): “To the purple glove!”

Too late for the fingerless lace gloves. I think Madonna had dibs on that in the 80s. Try again Agnes.
