You’d have to be lucky enough to find a firefly, so don’t hurt it. And I’ve lived in 2 states where houseflies are rare. AZ and FL at least where I lived. I did live in NY and it is the epicenter of houseflies

Hey Satch, one our dogs was an expert housefly killer. He’d use his nose to smash them against the wall. (Same dog was adept at biting yellow jackets in half and spitting out the pieces.)

Didn’t know Satch was so violent.

What about time flies?

Oddly enough, despite their differences, the deadly pressure points for most insect is the same.

Fireflys … heavy sigh … they used to be so prolific, and now — not so much.

With cluster flies there is little you can do but swat them.

Satchel is missing the point of the book’s instructions: it’s a cat training manual, so the pressure points are explained so that a cat can get the most pleasure out of killing one bug. Any observant cat owner will agree with this. Wait for a possible clarification tomorrow…

Don’t kill the mosquito hawks, a.k.a. dragonflies. They eat mosquitoes. If you squish a mosquito, you could get two hands full of blood. It happened to my mother when she slapped one that was on her arm. Gross.

I never kill fireflies. House flies, I capture with a quick hand snatch and release them outside.

What about a super fly?
