A lot of children actually do that — believe it or not.

“Daddy why do you always smell like drinking when it is my bedtime”

“Throw-the-toy-on-the-floor-so-Mommy-or-Daddy-can-pick-it-up-and-return-it-so-I-can-throw-it-on-the-floor-again” is a favorite game of most little ones.

Notice that Schulz signed it A Daddy.

Mr. Van Pelt does seem to be Lucy’s primary caregiver at this point. Perhaps his wife was having a difficult pregnancy with Linus.

This is cute, cause it’s signed “A Daddy” instead of “Schulz” signifying a sense of sincerity.
