I canāt imagine all those cats havenāt ātaken downā the tree already. More than once. And batted anything loose under the couch, and under foot beside your bed and all over the kitchen floor.
Hey! Iām right there with ya! The tree topperās the hardest part! The rest is a piece of cake, and Iāll get to it in time! But now, for some reason, I want a piece of cake!
I still have some winter ornaments around the houseā¦.I like them. Thereās nothing written in stone about when to take them down. To each his own! āŗļøāŗļø
Ours stays up at least to the 15th of Jan. Mrs is Orthodox, celebrates āherā Christmas on Jan 7th. So about a week after that day. Lot to be said for artificial trees when they are up that long. (as well as all the folks collecting discarded trees are no longer doing so by that date)
Be like Norm! Donāt be like meā¦ take off the lights and roll them into a big Christmas Tumbleweed. Job done! Only to create a much bigger job, to be dealt with next December.
Norm isnāt being lazyā¦more like time efficient. If all he ever takes down is the tree topper, think of all the time heāll save next Christmas season.

The top is a good place to start, there are fewer ornaments up there.

I have a friend who keeps his tree up, and decorated, each year until Valentines day. Then he and his wife take it down together.
