What happened ? Did an icicle fall down her back??

Hopefully she’ll land on her head.

What’s the matter? You don’t like our Broomie? Then don’t read the strip,

I did that once while roller skating, managed to stay on my feet, and got applause afterward.

Not funny.

A couple of years back, I went out after the newspaper (they don’t deliver now). It was on the other side of the iced over, sloped driveway. Almost there, I felt my foot lose traction. Just like a cartoon, I was completely horzontal, three feet off the ground.

Luckily, my fifty-year-old combat training kicked in (along with the padded clothing), and I landed properly. No bumps on the ka-noggin, no hip damage. The only damage was a bruised elbow, where it didn’t bend enough (old workplace injury) to absorb the impact properly.

Not from Broomie’s perspective.

1500 year-old bones must be severely osteoporotic.

It’s all fun and games until someone breaks a hip or fractures a skull.

At least most of her undergarments stayed on (I hope).

I give her a tentative 9.5, depending on how she nails the landing.

Now she’ll be skating all day, but that’s norm for her.

Down down down she goes, head over heels, in a total spin….
