That’s what I’d do…and I was a very good student. However, when the lights went down, I suddenly had a craving for a nap.

I remember when “AV materials” (movies and film strips) became the rage in schools. The kids loved it because it wasn’t chalk and talk, and it was something different. The teachers loved it because we sat quiet for the duration. Once in a great while if the teacher was in a very good humour they’d run the film through backwards after we’d seen it.

Movies in the classroom can be one of our biggest nap instigators, too…

Okay, everyone: what’s your favourite movie? :D Mine is The Last Days of Pompeii (1935) with Preston Foster and Basil Rathbone.

When I was in high school in the mid-80s, I took a film class. We saw the original “Alien” one week. The teacher had planned to show “Easy Rider” one week but ran out of time.

I’ve heard it said that humans can learn while they sleep. Excuse me while is study..zzzzzzzzzz

I’m telling you. She’s a narcoleptic.

When I was in High School, there was a one semester film class that happened right before my Public Speaking class. It was the same teacher and many of the students were in both classes (I wasn’t). There was a girl in both classes whose family was very religious and didn’t allow movies (or TV). This class was the first time she’d ever seen a movie or any kind of show.

And she falls asleep during the school movie.
