OK, so they are showing reruns now. I’m glad, because I always liked the classic strips. But HOW did they decide where to start???
The original strip is 1972/03/27, but today’s strip is from 1974/01/31. WHY didn’t they start at the BEGINNING??? Instead, they backfilled the reruns back to 2023/03/27, so if we want to read it all, we have to go back and manually step through 22 months of strips. Yes, it’s doable, but what is the point?
After being enticed here by an e-mail inviting me to check in with a comic strip that still occupies a small piece of real estate inside my head after 40-some years, I’m happy to see that like so many other traditional offerings here at GoComics that the rage among the readers against the current or former writers and illustrators is really what binds this community together. Again proof that the degree of pettiness directly correlates to the importance of the subject.
Glad to see Funky back. Funny thing is when I started reading Funky he was slightly older than me. Then we were the same age, later for years I was older. Now we are the same age again.
