How about that?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown walks by the other students and says, "Oh boy! Everyone is looking at me! If this doesn't impress that little red-haired girl, nothing will!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown smiles and says, "When I got called to the office I was a nobody . . . now, I'm a man with a badge!"<BR><BR>

Interesting “condensation” of the grades. Shermy may or may not be older than Charlie Brown (in the early strips, he was drawn as a little bit bigger), but Schroeder is definitely younger (Charlie Brown was already walking and talking when Schroeder was born).

Safety patrol assigned to kids their age? 2nd or 3rd grade is too young. Back in my day (he says, shaking his cane), it was assigned to 6th graders.
