Think about hauling 60+lb of equipment all day; I could do that when I was younger. Think about wearing very warm protective gear all day; I could possibly do that when I was younger. Think about being in ambient temperatures exceeding 120°F; I could maybe do that briefly. Now put all three together and do hard physical labor at the same time. The guys who fight forest & brush fires are AMAZING!!!

Not really the same thing, but I recently saw — by a train station in Denmark — a kebab shop with several signs pasted on the front saying (in Danish) “free kebab for the homeless”.
