NOW, can we start a new arc???

Unless those jokers persist I can see an end of story scene coming; where the Wallets and Gertie will have a belly rumbling end of program sitcom group laugh with a corny soundtrack playing behind, as it swells to a fade out and closing credits .

On the one hand, we pretty much psyched out where this story was going fairly early on. But OTOH, that was a lucid, intelligent, well thought-out plot line.

Skeezix finds a big fire going on in the Alley.

Rick finds that it never stops snowing in a Montana winter.

Brenda finds an incongruity with Vallorie’s story.

And Stubbs (somehow) finds a way to hold onto his job at the garage.

Walt was there before the HOA folks were born!

Why “grandfathered” out?

If those jokers persist, just tell them that Walt is going to put up a Ham Radio Antenna. Which by law he can and the HOA can stuff it.

I said this way back at he beginning of this thread. I remember seeing a strip panel once that showed Walt’s big old house in an area where he was surrounded by a lot of space all around it. The HOA can’t force you to become a member simply because they chose to build around you.
