Use @ instead of a, use 3 instead of e, ! instead of i, and then just use a memorable word or phrase with the substitutions.

Actually, “jollypurplealligator” is an excellent password, because what counts is LENGTH. the usual demand of “12 characters , must include one special character and one number” only gives you 20-something bits of entropy. Modern bulk-loading password intrusions can break that in a couple of days. Three random words have ~35 bits or entropy, and would take more than 300 years to break using the same method. “special characters” are nothing but security theatre. LENGTH is how you enforce secure passwords.

I WISH that could be my password. These days, they make you add asterisks and numerals all over the place so that you can’t guess it yourself.
