Might be, Earl, that she’s looking up, instead….lol

When my Mom was gravely ill she looked up from her hospital bed and smiled.“Do you see all the little children looking down at me? They smiling and laughing.” I thought there must be some wallpaper or drawings on the ceiling. I looked. There was just a white ceiling. God rest her soul but to this day I am not sure if it was her little joke or a symptom of her dementia.

There are a lot of nosey people in heaven.

And, she was probably a helicopter mom! I was a helicopter daughter ;)

I worked in Nursing Homes and one day I went into a patient’s room to do bedside P.T. and the woman, who was in her 80s, said that her mom and dad were standing in the corner of the room reaching out to her. She passed away that night. I saw too many things like that to ever scoff at stories people tell. Who really knows?

And she always liked looking down on Earl.

Like my grandmother. When my parents got engaged, she hired a private detective.

I’m with her. I still think about my mom a lot.
