There is one advantage to oily skin for decades: I don’t look like I’m in my late 50s. I still need oily skin cleanser, and I break out once in a while. Oh, well.

Last birthday, I brushed my hair, put on my best-fitting outfit, and applied basic make-up. Then took a long look in my full-length mirror. You know what? This is ME at 72. Not pretty, not ugly either!

The constant consumption of booze will to that Aunty. It can really age you, when you are face down on the floor so often.

I am using my phone camera to check my hair.

Friend: “Oooh, where did you get that mirror app?”

Me: “It’s not an app, it’s just my camera.”

Friend: “But you’re not taking a picture.”

Me: “That’s right, I’m just using the screen.”

Friend: “But you’re not taking a picture.”

Me: “…yes?”

Friend: “So it’s not the camera?”

Me: “It is.”

Friend: “Fine, don’t tell me the app. I’ll find my own!”
