NATIONAL NAPPING DAY. I guess I could take a nap, since it’s my day off. But the weather is supposed to be nice, so I’d rather get out and enjoy it before it turns colder again.

From yesterday’s comments about DST – Saucy1121 said, "@ theelherself If I remember, what was tried then was DOUBLE DST. Went ahead 1 hour in spring and then another in the summer. Supposed to help save on energy during the gas crisis. That didn’t go over well.
Yes! I remember that. They did DOUBLE DST supposedly to help with the energy crisis. I was in high school at the time and it made absolutely no sense to me as to how that was supposed to save energy. It felt weird going to school in the morning while it was still dark outside. I doubt if they will ever make THAT mistake again! I have never really minded the time changes at all, except for the fact that it gets dark too early on Standard Time. Since we’re on DST 8 months out of the year now, I’d be perfectly happy with us staying with DST all year.
