I bet Flo regrets the lack of online dating when she was young!

As debonair as Capp is the women are lucky Capp didn’t have an app. He would have a different Lass in the Rose and Crown each night. Imagine the advance cadging skills he have used for rounds of 2.

The current dating scene would have both Andy and Flo dizzy. Thank Goodness they met before the internet was invented

Those dating apps are just the thing a modern-day Jack the Ripper would love to use for the unwary.

Andy can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t pay close attention to their beer. Of course that works in his favor.

Modern technology never feels right in this toon. In fact, it feels more out of place here than it does in “Wizard of I’d” or “B.C.”!

I can remember a strip where a young man in the pub was excitedly getting a betting tip by text. He looked at it a moment, then said, "Either there is a horse called “Useless Git” or this text is from my wife." Sounds as though she and Flo would be sisters under the skin.

    CLASSIC ANDY CAPP Dept.

Flo is shoving Andy up the hallway.

“If you won’t find a job y’self, l’ll find one for you!

Andy’s telling her to stop pushin’.

In the next panel, they’re standing outside a yard. A sign says ‘Hands wanted.’ Flo asks, “What’s the wages?” and a foreman replies, “We’ll pay ‘im what ’e’s worth.”

In the final panel, Flo yells back, “Now look ‘ere, you can’t expect a bloke to work for that kind o’ money!”
