    The self checkout ā€œlifeguardsā€ need to have the best customer service skills of anyone! Those things malfunction if a person burps at the wrong time. Tempers and frustrations flare!

    Donā€™t mind the self-checkout lines. Especially when the checkers have 4 or 5 folks with overflowing carts and I only have a dozen small items in a hand basket. I do get frustrated at the error messages if I go too fast from scan to plunk down of stuff. My wife refuses to put our ā€˜reusableā€™ bags on the shelves, leaving them in the cart and then filling them after we pay. That I get, hearing the ā€œdid you put a bagā€ question several times as you try to get it to stand up is frustrating.
