There was a comment on here a few weeks back about the fact that Andy used to speak with a Yorkshire accent. I went and searched for much older comics and found it was true, his speech has changed. Funny how I never noticed that, although it’s been quite a few years since I last read newspapers ;-)
Andy, you are full of baloney. Flo said that it hasn’t snowed all night. Get it! Go bed NOW!
grazer says: I seriously doubt he got that red nose from frostbite.
Do you believe that Andy got that red nose from frostbite? No, He got that red nose from drinking tooooooo much at the pub. Tsk!
HEY - People! Have you never heard of a small squall line? It’s not that large, but boy does it lay some stuff down where it hits! I’ve actually had it happen to me! Jeez, I couldn’t get out of there until 2 AM, when the soft, warm, West Wind came through and melted all evidence of the blizzard.
C1PNR, that actually happened here in Central PA a couple of weeks ago, Lebanon County, I believe, had like 6” of snow and no one else did. They showed the squall line on the radar! Strange event!

I read that too – funny, I always thought he was pure Cockney! Especially since you often see London scenery, like Big Ben, in the background on Andy’s nocturnal meanderings home from the pub!
Didn’t Reg Smythe model Andy and Flo on his own parents? I read that somewhere but can’t place the reference right now. But sure enough; they were from Yorkshire. But when I think of a Yorkshire accent, I think of either Reginal Hill’s Dalziel and Pascoe, or Lady Chatterley’s Lover! Not Andy Capp.

Andy, you need to think of a good excuse before you get drunk.

He must be running out of excuses to think Flo would fall for such an easily disproved one.
