You would be right if the “me” in question was the subject.
for example:
Jenny and me will go to the store… now take away Jenny
“…me will go to the store” is obviously wrong…

But now I’m supposed to just accept that there are torpedoes in this primitive world, too? Well, I won’t accept it. If you ask me, the final panel should be Peter thinking, “What’s a torpedo?” Now that’s humor.
