It’s very amusing to me that as time goes by, and history is evaluated, a B movie actor will be regarded as one of our best Presidents. And that some of those groomed for the post from birth [JFK, for example] will not.
And look what 30 years of Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush Republican policies did to us; debt unpayable, deficit through the roof, can’t win a war against an unarmed pissant middle east country, unemployment ballooning, illegal immigrants overrunning us (you did know it was Reagan who opened the borders, right?) and the top 1% of the country is richer and happier than ever. That’s the effect of trickle down, that’s what we’re living in today.
I’m scared of what lame brained commie laws those lame ducks will pass between Nov and Jan. Rats and pigeons will be declared endangered and the voting age reduced to 16. You watch, your chimney will be included in cap and trade. St Peters on 5th will be knocked down to widen the road. The wealth will be redistributed as promised.
Regan took credit for an already crumbling Soviet economy and political breakdown, and gave terrorists (Khomeni) what they wanted (military parts and supplies as ransom for the hostages). Clinton had a balanced budget, that Bush Jr blew to “buy” votes from naive voters in the form of a “tax refund”, which the next year turned out not to be a refund, but an “advance” that tax payers had to pay back the next year.
I remember when Milo was asking at a lost & found if the gentleman had perhaps found his lost youthful idealism. Nice to know that not all have been so foolish as to misplace theirs.

Ah, Ronnie, who with one “Off-the-air” TV spot brought down the Iron Curtain.

Sandfan, that’s not amusing!

Sandfan’s wrong. Give History some time and it will rate Reagan as among the worst Presidents for damage done to the country and his party.

A very sad commentary indeed. I’m sure sandfan is one of the rampaging, ayn randian, me first selfish slobs that thinks everything is just fine.

If those students’ parents paid for their kids to learn something, they should get their money back.

Roosevelt, Johnson, Carter and Obama. Perfect examples of Einstein’s definition of insanity.
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.
Ditto for the statists/socialists. RIP this November.

November can not come soon enough.

Don’t think Ronnie actually took down the Iron Curtain. Chernobyl had a lot to do with that.
Ronnie was at the right place at the right time with the right rhetoric.

Ronnnie just took advantage of what was ineviitable. Talk about being at the rright place at the right time
