Just think, starting in the ’80s we started to pay for the privilege of watching Madonna frame her face in her Vogue video. After that, it was all downhill for civilization.

I’m rather nostalgic for the early days of HBO and when Shotime taped and showed Broadway plays.

How about reality shows, “American Idol, X Factor, etc., etc., etc!” Enough is enough. America is definitely dunmbing down!

In the late ‘60s, some movie theaters were so afraid of the competition that “pay TV” represented that they started a campaign against it, using tactics like this. If they’d succeeded, maybe we’d have better shows today.

Hey, he’s referring to “With Six You Get Eggroll”! That was old when I was a kid, and we used to borrow it from the library. My sibs and I loved it. I wonder how it would hold up for modern viewing…I remember it being very funny.
