Side note – feel free to mock the Bloom County folks for tossing the animal products in the trash after they’ve already been produced – such waste does no one any good.

Eat your 20-dozen McNuggets and don’t be such a hyper-customer. There’ll be McNuggets here tomorrow, too!

There is a reason we are omnivores. We require (RDA/RDI) large amounts of protein daily.Either eat 10 cups of brown rice or have a hamburger for lunch and a chicken breast for dinner.Yes, you can survive on a vegan diet and if you really believe animals have feelings go for it. But don’t lecture the rest of us who believe otherwise.

Ever wonder why we have canine teeth? It’s not for chewing grain or grazing. It’s for eating meat. Not exactly. We have canine teeth for the same reason that nearly every mammal has canine teeth: we inherited them from our common ancestor. In point of fact, our canine teeth are much reduced and would be pretty useless for capturing and holding our prey. Compare what we have with what you find in a wolf or a lion. Also our molars have evolved for crushing and grinding as would be needed for eating many plant parts. Again compare out molars with those of carnivores. The best evidence—based on our teeth and the length of our digestive system—is that we evolved to be omnivorous, eating predominantly plant parts and a relatively small quantity of meat most of the time.

Stop the preaching because it is not going to change my mind. There is a reason that comic strips were called the “funny papers” and it was not because I could read the inane comments of the vegan mini minority while I eat my ham and eggs.

On a more serious note….when did Binkley start wearing John Daly’s old golf slacks?

The big question here is in regard to the last panel. Is it considered cannibalism for a penguin to eat a Chicken McNugget?

Simplicity: Before the flood, the earth was a temperate planet with a complete cloud cover that kept everything balanced, meaning everyone was a vegetarian. When the flood happened, this collapsed, making it necessary for people to have more protein to withstand sun’s rays. So God said, “Okay to eat meat, but a soul for a soul, remember?” He was saying meat is okay, but unnecessary killing of animals would be avenged. Today, there is much unnecessary killing of animals. I eat meat, but only take what I will eat, and always acknowledge the avenger with thanks in prayer.

I know, anti-religious folks…let me have it for my ignorance.

Ever notice how it’s always the wack jobs on the far left that always try to push their opinions on the ews of us?? It’s hardly ever the other way around. I’m perferctly happy to let vegetrians/vegans live their life, may chuckle to myself, but I don’t try to force them to eat meat/ It’s always the vegetrians/vegans that use their twisted logic & made up facts to try & convince the rest of us how horrible we are.

    Re Fishbulb,

Is this really the forum for a serious discussion about anything other than humor found in the strip?

I’m all for examining how we eat, what we eat, and what the impact of our choices are . . . it’s the sanctimony on either side of the debate that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t think anyone’s mind was ever changed by being verbally attacked – except to entrench themselves deeper into their own beliefs.
