Back in the Late 50’s I had one of the First Pocket Transistor Radios ( 3 Transistor Superhet), no speaker, ear phone). As I went on my paper route delivering the Cleveland Press, a 6-year-old kid asked what was in my ear. I told him it was a radio. He then announced to his parents that “He can’t hear, so he has a radio in his ear”. (PS: In those days that resembled a Hearing Aid).

Nice, comedic imperfection. Techno-deafened momma & forlorn, defeated penguin. The wonderful modern world of communication!

Things haven’t changed much in 30 some odd years, except the technology is smaller. The users have about as much consideration.
