oh my god …or oh your god or oh our god or oh nobodys god or long fanged rabbit …….here we go again…I got it while watching the honey mooners..ralph never did send alice to the moon..
Yep, first panel, Oliver depicting how evolutionists talk down to people that don’t buy into their current phase of guessing of what they THINK happened that led to Earth’s existence, and all life on it.Whereas Evolutions will mock you for not believing them, Christians will help you.
I didn’t know it was considered mocking by merely observing what the strip was depicting and commenting on its truth of what/how evolutionist elites talk down to Creatioinists.
I’ve been wondering when “elite” became a bad word? Elite soldier, elite football player, elite band: Good. Elite intellectual, elite scientist, elite academic….bad.
OK now this has gone too far. I can put up with the mutual mocking of the science/religion debate. Your beliefs and even your mocking of my beliefs does not affect my relationship with the infinite. But I draw the line at mocking I Love Lucy.
People who believe in God use “existence” as proof … and since God as an explanation explains everything, it “explains” (in a scientific sense) nothing. Cosmology, on the other hand, looks for an explanation for existence. Science keeps revising or refining explanations (hypotheses) as new evidence is found. Religions are “decided science” (more or less in terms of their bylaws regarding membership). One can believe in a supreme being and still pursue scientific truth.
Possibly. Only fly in the ointment here is that in the last 30 years it has been discovered that things are not slowing down, they are all accelerating away. Hawking had to make some changes…..
The critics of religion(s) ranting above – perhaps excepting NightGaunt – don’t seem to understand. Religion does not seek to replace science, but rather to augment it. Science attempts to explain “how” whereas religions attempt to explain “why.” An inquiring mind seeks both.

Maybe evolution is god in action?
Now, I wonder if I should search the net for Stephen Hawking and the I Love Lucy eureka moment?

Oh, it’s just the in-breathing and out-breahing of Brahma. Each breath takes about 100 billion years, counting from Thursday…

It’s not only religious people that are too cowardly and stupid to take responsibility for their own lives.
