Granddad: (sigh)...bills...let's see...gas...car...telephone... Waitaminute...what the?! One hundred sixty-three calls to "American Idol"?!
Riley: Go Ruben!!
It’s probably due to the fact that much of it is now politically dated, although it was wonderful for the time. A lot of us out there wish it would resume.
These re-run strips are a heck of a lot better than the current animated series.
(Sorry, Aaron. Not all comic strips translate well to animation – Garfield did, Peanuts did, sort of, but Dilbert didn’t. It’s just as some books make great movies, while others are much better off remaining as books: different art shines in different media. Would you at least consider bringing back the strip?)

How come “The Boondocks” doesn’t draw as many comments as the other comics?

I, on the other hand, feel that the animated series is far better than the strip… interesting…

I’m 64 and I love the animation. Uncle Ruckus is a hoot. Some episodes are better than others. I’m with Edcole and jman. Bring em back.

SCAATY_423, at what point, exactly, did Garfield translate well to animation? I must have missed that one.
And the animated Peanuts specials are hit-and-miss; about half of them are actually watchable (this week being the season for one that’s really not).
