I believe the “crowing” to which Mona’s roomies refer, which apparently is so regular and predictable that they can set their watches by it, is the cri de coeur coming from Mona’s room upon being renoodged by the snooze alarm.
I am glad I haven’t used an alarm in 30 years.
Isn’t that why the sun is in the sky?
