Doc: I’m sorry to hear that. :-( Msn was down yesterday, and I didn’t get online until 8:30 PM, so thank you for cluing me in. I’m glad that you get sick pay. I’m sure that your sweetie will take good care of you.

Dry, sorry I can’t help you with your ‘puter problem. I do know that sometimes you have to remove a program and then re-install it. I don’t think you should try that with the Outlook though, you will probably lose all your info on there.

Akenta, hitting current will take you back to page 1 if there are multiple pages. I still hit current and then I just hit the page I want after that.

carmy I did a disk clean up and have my Outlook Express working again. How long it will last is anyone’s guess! Got rid of a couple of rarely used programs which I didn’t recognize, took a chance on that one!

JFri thanks for that very useful tip. I have always wished I did not have to go back to page one every time I make a comment. I also wish that when I make a comment that I could stay in my queue of comics instead of having to keep track of which number I am on and then google to the next strip.

There once was a commenter named Doc’ Whose throat hurt whenever he talked. Although he felt dead, “It’s bronchitis” they said, But the drugs they gave totally rocked!

Dry, the commissary is really good. The prices are lower than regular stores and I find certain items there that I can’t find elsewhere, plus no tax on the non-food items. We don’t say PX or BX, it’s the NEX (Navy exchange). That’s where I got my couch/love seat sectional for 290.00 (no tax).

Doc and JFri, listening to all the talk about the various painkillers you need makes me glad that my clumsiness hasn’t resulted in quite so many broken bones. *DF*, I like your limerick. Response from last night: Tabby I guess the only other thing to wish would be Happy Days.

Carmy - I have a “Back” button at the top of my keyboard and after I post, I hit back and it returns to previous page with my recent comment. Well, it works MOST the time.

Rad, I do that too sometimes with the “back” button. Doc, sometimes a bad thing can become a good thing. I took a bad fall and my lower right side kept hurting. I went to the doctor and that’s when they discovered the cancer. If I hadn’t of fallen, I may not have gotten treatment in time.

Every one keeps telling me “Just wait until you’re 40, just wait until you’re 50, just wait until you’re 60.” I’m In my 50’s and still have only a few minor aches and pains now and then.

Carmy That gives a whole new facet to the term “lucky break”.

Hi Jdoc, You must drink a lot of milk. I did when I was younger and I still drink it now, just not as much. Anyway, my bones are like steel.

ok, new person here….the air is starting to become breathable…… so……if I may be so bold to comment on say…..’family circle’ does anyone here have an opinion on the glimpses of grampa in heaven….where all the heaven occcupants are all adults and all are actually wearing white robes (not snuggies!) and sandals and are all hanging out walking on clouds hah? anybody? I mean surely this is worth just a bit of eye rolling ….. I’m trying to be nice here, but PLEASE!

New face? Hi, Nighthawks. I know nothing about politics and even less about Religion although I do think everyone has some touch of spiritualism. I’d rather have a toga party with wings, a little harp and sandles than a speedo with clogs. Not a pretty picture.

I hit a bunch of growth spurts the past couple of years and since then my bones have seemed much more brittle. (jumping sucks now). I can still do all those things that I used to, but now I feel it the next day. BTW, get well soon Doc.

I had to hit back space and then refresh. My comment was still sitting in the box though.

Anyway, I came home and turned on my computers. My other computer started with a blue screen of death. It took around 3 tries before it started up. I hope it’s not going to die. I like to use that one to chat here while I play my games.

When did I ask for sympathy? I was just stating that I crossed the point of no resiliency. Now I have to think before I do stupid things. It is one of those steps towards maturity that I may or may not hit. Let’s give Tabby a pity party, she has a tough transition ahead of her.

tabbylynn, it’s good you’ve got a weekend ahead of you. You need a chance to just relax and think about other things. Cleo I think Pookid meant that after images of Rad in speedo and clogs flashing through his brain, he now needs therapy (no offense, Rad). I would normally recommend an alien abduction instead, but after reading Brewster Rockit today, the side effects might be worse than the cure.

Just dandy now, thank you, that must have been the weakest flu ever. I wasn’t even that horribly sick yesterday. Rad, I wasn’t sure if that was a zinger or if it was sincere, again the sarcasm is hard to read.

It looked like Raven used one of FLS’s own toons to draw attention to his (FLS’s) attacks on others. At least that’s my take from how Attyush called it.

Carmy: You mentioned earlier today that you cancer was found after a fall. Because you still had pain, you went back to your Dr. Mine was found because I kept insisting that something was wrong. Know your body is my advice to all of you. If something doesn’t feel normal, get it checked out. My cancer was discovered at stage 1. I was very fortunate.

Well, I am back after dinner and it looks like I might be arriving just as everybody else is hitting the sheets. Oh, woe is me, poor cleo, all alone, no one around. Alright, did I do a pretty good job of feeling sorry for myself, or what? doctortoon is going to be up all night if he is indeed sleeping. In my own mind it’s more than likely some nefarious activity.

Marg, I didn’t know you had cancer too. Is it gone now? That is great advice about “know your body”. I’ve often heard that constant fatigue is a big warning signal. Well, I had that but, with my husband often out at sea and taking care of 4 daughters with the youngest being autistic, of course I was always tired, who wouldn’t be?

Carmy: Your tiredness wouldn’t seem out of place at all. I’m glad that you went back and got the pain checked out. I had the cancer in 1995, so my 10 years passed in 2005. I have had skin cancer, too, so I go to my dermatologist once a year. Many years of working on a tan eventually catches up to you. You talked a while ago about not losing your hair, and feeling bad when a woman who had lost hers questioned why you hadn’t. I feel the same way about not needing chemo because they caught my cancer early enough. Keep fighting. You have a great sense of humor, and great faith, and these things will help you immensely.
