okey my friends. Since I will be gone for a few days I will present two dining options.

Chicken fried steak, gravy, hashbrowns , toast and sonic coffee. A fruit bowl with non-fat yogurt, cut up bananas, strawberries, cantaloupe, blueberries, oranges, my homemade granola and a few sprinkles of organic cereal.

Just got back from sailing. Was that pirate and Joy I saw on the sand spit? Haven’t read all the comments from yesterday yet but it looks like you’ve all been very busy. Anyone for bagels and cream cheese this morning? Of course with strawberries and orange slices on the side… And DocT’s coffee.

OK, cinnamon rolls, pirate coffee & your ckoice of juice!

Oh…and sonic coffee goes with the second option as well unless you would prefer juice or tea.

tabby I didn’t see any posts from you last night, young lady. I caved in and let her go for a walk with her neighbor. Next time I’ll send her straight to bed.

For breakfast this morning, I’ll bring grits, bacon, French toast, scrambled eggs, and biscuits with gravy.

Red River Cereal is a Canadian hot cereal made from wheat, rye, and flax. Very yummy with some cereal cream & brown sugar and very good for you.

Good morning everyone. It’s nice to see all my friends [at least the ones who are here yet] . Doctortoon Red River Cereal is a type of hot cereal. I used to eat it often as a kid during the winter but I haven’t even thought of it for years. JFri Thanks for your tip yesterday about how to change my avatar. Unfortunately I did not explain my problem very clearly. When I followed your instruction, I just went back to the same few pictures that I had access to at first. What I would like to do is gain access to other pictures on or off the internet and be able to use those. I started using a computer fairly late in life [actually I’m just 21 with several years of experience] so my questions may seem kind of dumb. But if I can’t ask friends for help, who can I ask? Happy birthday for tommorrow Cleokaya. I do like to check in more often but it takes me sooooo long to read through all the posts especially when I have to stop every once in awhile to just sit back and laugh. Thanks everyone for brightening my day. I’d better go take a short nap. You wouldn’t believe all the typos I’m making. BBL.

Sorry to butt in, but I’ve seen a lot of discussion is going on here and wanted to get people’s opinion. Is anyone having trouble, when looking at comments, that when they return to the page they were reading that it goes to the first of several pages they had been reading? Hope this makes sense… I have five different pages and after I read or post comments, I have to go back to my first page, locate the page I had been on, then continue… Any comments?

chromosome, if what you are saying is that when you post comments on say page 3 and you want to return to page 3, try this. After you type your comments in the box, hit post comment and then refresh your page. I do that and it will have my comments that I just posted and any other comments (from other posters) that were posting about the same time mine was on that same page. I hope this helps you.

Dawnavril I love oatmeal, but until recently, most reakies where way more elaborate than “just” oatmeal. I have it every day, so I must have Scotch in me, or something like that!

@johnnydoc, they say the only difference between boys and men is how much the toys cost. Another way it’s been put is the difference between government bonds and men is that bonds mature.

Here’s how my day started, so for those of you who pray, can you add a few more people?

I went to pick up our breakfast and the place I go to every Friday and the people who work there are very nice. I always talk to the lady who takes my order (but I’ve never asked her name :-( ). She starts off telling me that she thinks they are going to have to close the place down. And with economy that wasn’t surprising, but still sad. That’s one reason I go every Friday, since that’s the only way I know to show my support.

Next, she tells me that the new medicine she’s on is making her feel worse. (Again, I didn’t want to pry and ask why she’s taking the medicine). The doctor’s told her that if she doesn’t take the medicine she might go blind in a couple of years. That’s even sadder than the restaurant closing.

But that’s not all (this next bit is really heartbreaking, so skip now if you want). She starts telling me about her step-sister who was trying to get out of a bad marriage. The step-sister had left and took some of her stuff. But she had to go back to the house to get some more stuff. When she got there, her husband was home and pulled a gun on her. His daughter was home and saw this. She took her cell phone and was able to call the police. The police came and then the husband turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head (in front of his daughter). Since then they found a suicide note - he was planning on killing daughter and himself all along (I’m not sure if he was going to kill his wife too)

My heart really goes out to that daughter (my heart always goes out to the lady at the restaurant).

Sigh. Too many people believe that violence, even against oneself, is an answer to problems. In my experience, it usually solves little or nothing, and only creates more problems for those left behind. Of course I will pray; I believe Tabbylynn (and other) will too.

Hi everybody. It’s me again. Thanks again to JFri and Doctortoon for the tips on how to change my avatar. It is so simple when you know how to do it. Now for the next question. Is there anyway to get my keyboard to type what I want to say, no matter if I hit the right key or not? It would sure save me a lot of time spent on correcting. LOL.

Sorry Akenta, I did not see your post before I sent the last one. I feel for your friends who are going through a really rough time. I hope they can hold on until things get better for them.

Akenta, I kind of know how you feel, I say kind of, because no one can truly know how another feels,. Bad things have happened to aquintances (sp), people I see that wait on me on a regular basis, people I know becasue I see them at the bank, or whatever, and because you know them, your heart aches for them. My heart aches for anyone who has a tragedy. I find myself crying at the news, like with little Caley Anthony for instance. That’s one of the reasons I don’t watch much news anymore! A few months ago, 3 teenagers died while drag racing, no drinking or drugs involved, they were just drag racing. I knew, casually, the parents of two of them.

I shall pray for that lady and her family. It was nice that you listened to her tell her story. She needed to talk about it, and you were there for her!

DRY - I use Windows media player and have it selected as the preferred media player..

Dry - if you’re on Vista, you can use the Control Panel/Default Programs tool to change what program is used for each type of file. I don’t remember where the equivalent tool is for XP

Rad, I went to the website on DF’s post, Frederick Military Academy and found enough info to see that it was Reville, but they needed a password to open it. I tried my windows media player, and I couldn’t open it Maybe I can find a site to link to and send doc his Reville wake up call! LOL
