Last night, there was some discussion about how stupid deer are. At our dinner, lots of the discussion was about how stupid some pets are: cats who constantly make a break for outdoors whenever the door opens, leading to them getting stepped on, with very hurt looks, and dogs who go looking for porcupines, despite the quills. One dog even rolled in a dead porcupine–too good smelling to pass up, I guess…

I left a note for our new friend on Real Life.

He goes as GP to the Cornish coast but has no bedside manner. “Waiting for God” is about two seniors who can no longer care for themselves but who get into all sorts of prickly situations trying to better the conditions in the home. You’d enjoy them.

How about if I bring a pan of scotcheroos? Fresh and hot from the oven…

Scotcheroos

Nonstick cooking spray 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup light corn syrup 6 cups toasted rice cereal 1 2/3 cups NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Butterscotch Flavored Morsels 1 cup NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Coat 13 x 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Combine peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup in large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until melted. Remove from heat. Add cereal; stir until thoroughly coated. Press onto bottom of prepared baking pan. Microwave butterscotch morsels and semi-sweet chocolate morsels in large, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread over cereal mixture. Refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes or until topping is firm. Cut into bars.

Makes 30 bars.

cleo that was pretty much the whole story. They couldn’t really describe other than he was naked and in his 20s. He got into a silver van. Both van and fries haven’t been found yet.

There was some kind of water fight this weekend in the polynesias, but I can’t find a link about that. I saw a clip on the news last night. All I remember seeing was someone throwing a bucket of water on someone. It looked kind of tame compared to ours.

Well … I do drive a silver Suburu Forester. Not a van, but you know how confused witnesses all are. If I’m driving to Vancouver, I’m going for more than fries. I could go to Wreck Beach (Vancouver’s nude beach). doctortoon will like this the nude beach is right below the University.

Well we are having Black Cod, one of my two favorite fishes. I have some leftover Italian semolina bread that I made a few days ago and froze. The rest of the menu hasn’t been planned yet. I have been busy making homemade granola. So those who like Black Cod are welcome.

Shika, MOJITOS are the best!! Unfortunately, around here, most restaurants around here don’t know how to make them, and the ones that do always tell me they are out of mint! Duh, we do have grocery stores around here that carry it! FRESH!

Reminds me of the time we went to a fairly new highly touted restaurant and ordered nachos. They were out of nacho chips!! DUH! GROCERY STORE? Went there again and sure enough, the nachos were your run of the mill nachos chips!

Don’t have to worry about me, I don’t like fast food that much. As for another virtual water, I won’t be afraid to use all the weapons in my arsenal, be afraid ladies, be veeerrrrrrrry afraid, BWAHAHAHA!

Dry- I know what you mean. We were at a very posh (for us anyways) restaurant. someone at the next table ordered lamb with mint- they were out of mint. the man gave the management such a hassle that he sent someone out to buy some. Duh!

Shika - We had a bar hear that was my Cheers, called the Bristol Bay and it was a mixture of fisherman, reporters, because it was next door to our local newspaper and I loved it. Everyone knew everyone else. The drinks were stiff. Then, it burned down. They reopened in another spot, but the magic was gone and it never worked. A DAM*N shame.

Terry- Welcome back,eh! Sorry- I think it’s expected of me to say “eh”.LOL I kept thinking something wasn’t right around here, but I’ve been away a bit myself. Sorry to hear about your scare. I had a scare like that last year, but I wasn’t qurantined. They just waited and took a blood sample. I have a shadow on my lung that looks like TB, but they think it was previously undiagnosed pneumonia.

Thanks for the clip on the Aristcats Tabby. That was a classic. I can see our respective cats jamming like that! Mua’s just lolling in front of my fan right now. Very cool on a humid day for a cat to figure out fans are good.

Thank you for the reply and I am soooooooooo glad to be back even if not that strong yet. I am hoping those spots turn out to be nothing. But breathing has been an issue off and on, so that has me concerned.

Shika - Yup, a great bar that I guess ran it’s course. Never has been anything that has approached the atmosphere. I knew the bartenders. They would, at times, allow me to sit in the bar after hours, pouring me free drinks, then we would go out together to bars that were open later and party. I miss that place. On New Years Eve they would bring in huge Maine Lobsters. I’m not sure if I mentioned it on this comic or not, but this was also the place that turned me off of escargot for years when they accidentally served it to me raw.

I ate at a really great restaurant last year at Rye Beach, New Hampshire! Best place I ever ate except for The Greene Turtle! It was called Saunders. Probably never eat there again, :-( On the deck, on the ocean, beautiful weather, great food, great service!

Dry (if you’re not too ashamed to talk to me) that restaurant in NH wasn’t a 2 story grey building, was it?
