The selling point is the opening bass line. I think it’s played on an Alembic guitar.

Good morning and Happy FRIDAY!! Sorry, you’re back at work tomorrow docT, but it’s been a long week for me, so I’m looking forward to a little bit of rest.

When I said goodnight yesterday, we were only at the end of page 2 - this morning I see you guys got to page 7!! Good thing I didn’t over sleep, but I doubt I can finish my rounds before I have to get ready for work.

I hope they are able to fix Wink’s ear. And his eye could use some ice.

I will be doing a hit and run right now. i have to get ready to go to my moms tonight and i need to find some med to knock out this pain. it hurts under my right eye. and the left top hole (for lack of a better word) hurts like heck. need to get it rinsed out agian. i have to do that every 4 to 5 hours. fun fun fun. well ill be back later house cleaning to do and a brother to get out of bed. love ya all

hi all, well doc and cleo… im back for a little while my granny will be here shortly to cooke me food… i could do it myself, but heck she wants to cook for me im not going to argue.

so funny thing that happened…. i have lived in this house for over 8 years and we have had this desk here for about 5 or 6 of those years…. well as i was going to sit down guess what i did….. i hit my head on the top of the desk, never happened before, i think its funny. im strange i know.

Well, I remember why I don’t like to drive much on weekdays. Last night, I was going by a gas station near our Interstate exit, and a couple of cars didn’t even bother to stop but pulled out from the station nearly in front of me, so I had to jam on the brake. They got on the interstate, and then were beside each other and passing back and forth for the next several miles, until I finally got by them. I still don’t know what they were playing at.

Later another kindly fellow was going about 5 miles under the speed limit, and when I headed for the on-ramp (because he was taking the local road), at the last moment he simply pulled over in front of me to take the ramp. No signal or anything. I slowed way down to let him get way ahead on the ramp–he was halfway down when I was one quarter, and then accelerated as the ramp is designed. At the bottom, I was getting close to him, pulled around him and passed, since I was then close to the speed limit. Well, lo and behold, two miles later he was passing me. Guess he didn’t like to get passed by anyone? Even when he didn’t know which way he was going?

Aaaarrrrrrggghhhhhhh!

Thanks, Akenta, though I’m not sure I need a loan from the bank so much as a place to rant a little about drivers who got their license in a box of Cracker Jack. I wasn’t in trouble, just irritated at how they drive.

Yahoo, it’s 102 (degrees) here! Must be 120 in Phoenix.

My driving pet peeve is freeway driver’s who slow down to let a merging car onto the freeway. It is so dangerous and happens so often. If you can pull into the passing lane do it, but if you can’t maintain your speed. It is the other driver’s obligation to slow down until it is safe to merge. Now merging driver’s are almost expecting people to slow down for them.

bmonk: Patience my brother…… ;-) Seriously, I feel your pain. After driving a step van for 18 years, I know that I must constantly watch out for the other drivers, and sometimes it gets tiring…

mmm…watermelon. I love watermelon (and so have all my pups). As an aside, the current pup (Moxie, pictured) managed to steal a cucumber today and ate half of it before she could be persuaded to trade for a dog treat. Last one (Saucy) and Moxie, both love tomatoes.

Tabby: have you ever had Watermelon Rind Pickles? My family has always made them. A lot of work, but sooooo goood.

Just about all I have eaten today is watermelon. Throw in a few blueberries and raspberries and that is the sum total of my food consumption today. Dinner will be a different story.

I’m up! (finally) These naps aren’t working too well. I keep oversleeping. I would rather do that than drive wherever bmonk was driving. Isn’t it a bit early for drunk driving? lol.

Cleo, That’s interesting. They were just talking on the news today about this being the anniversay of the moon landing and how he got all choked up reporting the story, but the story was about the anniversay of the moon landing, so he must not have passed at that point.

Cerebrovascular disease sounds like strokes, or maybe precursors…acc. to wikipedia: The most common forms of cerebrovascular disease are cerebral thrombosis (40% of cases) and cerebral embolism (30%), followed by cerebral hemorrhage (20%).

Thrombosis is a blood clot, which would induce a stroke.

Embolism is when a clot or some other glop migrates to the brain, inducing a stroke.

Hemorrhage is when the blood vessels just tear by themselves, inducing a stroke.

At least, that’s what I make of it.

As far as I am concerned he was the last of the great TV newscasters.

I am not familiar with the Groovie Ghoolies either. I guess I am just old. Are they print cartoons or TV. If they are TV I can be excused as I haven”t had TV for 4 years.

The Groovy Ghoolies are from Archie’s Funhouse that aired in the 70’s on Saturday mornings. The Ghoolies are cousins of Sabrina, the teenage witch.

carmy - I used to read the Archie comics, but never saw the TV show. And I only saw the Bewitched show, so I missed both shows.

I don’t know who they are either, I never read Archie comics, and only remember Sabrina from a TV show.

In between posts I have been hanging out outside. All activity on the lake has ceased and is such a beautiful evening.
