Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
hi bigg & Marg. just got in from meteor viewing (and attempting photographing). got in from work, picked up the camera, and then drove around 20 miles north of home to try to get out of the âglowâ of the big smoke (and i live in what used to be the suburbs, but has now been built out to). forgive the grammar, or lack thereof, but itâs a smidge late for me. i was on an escarpment ridge and got a full view of the city lights on the horizon. the meteors were pretty good to look at, and i was glad to be able to see stars, for once. hope the photos turn out. i was experimenting a bit because i havenât used my remote much - especially using the âbulbâ setting - but iâll see.
thanks for breakfast bigg, but iâll just have the peanut butter on 12 grain bread, toasted, as a kind of midnight snack - since iâll be going to bed shortly. iâll do a quick drop in again before i sign off, but for now itâs time to go sailing through the toons. (man! is this a verbose post!) TTFN!
whatâll be next then, a tie dye t-shirt with a head bandanna ,and a talking lingo of Cheech and Chong while smokiâŠâŠâŠ..
I better stop before I get out of hand.
See everybody Iâm learning how to control myself.
bigg that breakfast was great - you always do a good job at it, but this morning I was really hungry.
yyguy I saw those meteors years ago, since then I canât remember to check it out. I guess I could go outside now and see if I can catch anything.
shika give the fantasy football a try. I know a little about baseball (still donât care for that sport) and even less about hockey, but I still had fun with those fantasy sports. If you donât have to be in first place itâs just something to do. Lonewolf/Johnny any advice you want to give people about fantasy sports - I think you two are the experts on that.
Good morning all!
Today will be another of those days where I have little or no time to chat. So that is why I wonât be here much over the next few days. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Letâs hope tights and leotards make a comeback as well. Josh told me when he was little, he used to see women exercise with then on TV. He said these days the only ones wearing those outfits now are little girls taking ballet lessons. Good Morning, Tribe.
Morning, tribe. Iâve always been fond of tie-dye myself. It hid the minor stains that always found me in the 70s. OK, Iâll stop now, but I did enjoy the 70s - w/o - the aid of legal or illegal substances!
Good Morning to All and to All a Happy Thursday!!!
BiggâExcellent breakfast menu. Iâll have the bagels with cream cheese, and a cinnamon roll with âŠ.you guessed itâŠ..some Nuked Coffee from the pipeline. Thank you!
Hi JohnnyâGood to hear you when you can stop in.
Hi AkentaâHow are you dear?
Shika I agree on trying the Fantasy Football. They give you all the numbers you need to play the games and rank your players. They could list them by numbers instead of names and you still would be able to compete. And it is a lot of fun, whether youâre in first or last.
Good point D>F! Must not have been there, but I know many of the people around me in the 70s seemed to have continued the fun & freedom of the 60s. I think theyâd see both decades as one blurâŠO wellâŠ
About fighting over breakfast at SOTU, it reminds me of the parable about Heaven and Hell. In Hell, everybody sits at a sumptuous banquet, with platters and vast bowls of lovely foodâonly the silverware has six foot long handles, and everybody is cursing and angry that they cannot eat anything.
In heaven, everything is the sameâexcept that they are feeding each other.
Maybe thatâs the difference between the Tribe and the denizens of SOTU.
Pardon me for introducing a religious theme, but thatâs the only story that came to mindâŠ
To answer your question Lone Wolf, Iâm having a little problem getting a reply from GoComics in my email. So Josh told me I can use his account temporary. Iâve been checking everyday since I join your group this past Tuesday. Tell you What, Iâll leave now and check my e-mail, then reply later.
Still no reply from GoComics, and no, I donât drink coffee, you Lame Wolf! Iâm an enchanted being! I drink nectar! I donât poision my body like you do with that corporate-produced witchesâ brew!
I called him âLame Wolfâ because I was upset about what he say about me drinking coffee! Iâve calmed down now. No hard feelings hmm, Lone Wolf? Give Tink a howl!
The Perseid meteor shower is an August must-see around these parts.
Did you know that John Denver was inspired by the Perseids to write Rocky Mountain High?
He was camping with friends at the tree line at Williams Lake near Windstar (his foundation in Colorado) and all of a sudden there were many shooting stars and he noticed âThe shadow from the starlightâ⊠thus the line from the song.
From his autobiography:
âI remember, almost to the moment, when that song started to take shape in my head. Imagine a moonless night in the Rockies in the dead of summer and you have it. I had insisted to everybody that it was going to be a glorious display. Spectacular, in fact.
âI went back and lay down next to Annie in front of our tent, thinking everybody had gone to sleep, and thinking about how in nature all things, large and small, were interwoven, when swoosh, a meteor went smoking by. And from all over the campground came the awed responses âDo you see that?â It got bigger and bigger until the tail stretched out all the way across the sky and burned itself out. Everybody was awake, and it was raining fire in the sky.â
From a SOTU denizen (thanks bmonk) I would like to share with all of you kind folks my favorite John Denver song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9rLJliunxY
Please enjoy it with your wonderful breakfast; and forgive me for trespassing.
GOOD AFTERNOON TRIBE@Shaliach.
the half moon and the city glow kind of put a damper on the spectacle, but it was still worth going out for.
i wasnât aware of the Denver connection. iâve always liked John Denver, and will go back to your link tonight, when iâll have more time to enjoy it. thanks.
Happy Anniversary, Yukonericbmonk iâve heard the analogy before, and think it fits.
Terry i may even check out SOTU to see about the breakfast debate.
NNNNNGGGAAOOOOOOOOWWW
I going to have to sign up again! Go Comics.com still havenât send me the link yet and itâs been two days! I canât used Joshâs account forever! If I donât get a reply soon, Iâm afraid Iâll have to jump ship and go over to comics.com! [Sad Voice] Then you all will miss me, like you missed Josh!
@doc, I like it better than posting the URLs because you donât have to worry about underlines and other symbols that this site uses to format the text.
Rule #1 of the Tribe is (all together now-) : Play nice.
Name calling falls under that rule. A polite comment was made, and a childish, snotty response was received. We donât do that here.
Tink, I have an idea. There are several young ladies that appear from time to time here that are around your age. They have large imaginations and all of you would probably get along famously, in fact youâll probably all become BFFs. Introduce yourself to them, they are ladywolf and kozykttn. Theyâll love your fairy persona, Iâm sure.
Hi MargâGee, Iâm glad youâre here! Tis a beautiful sight indeed. How are you doing?
I need to go to Sears and spend some money on tools(power tools, ooh, ooh), but thought Iâd stop in here. Boy am I glad I did. I will be back later. I hope I donât miss much.
Iâm off to take 3 cats to the vet, my kiddo is helping. Must go now and round them up. Have to close all doors and round them in a small area because when they see the Pet taxiâs coming out, they take off like greased lightening!! LOL
Greetings all. Yep circus and three rings at that. I have been busy making bread. A grey day calls for such activities. When it is warm out I try to keep the oven off.
Marg you and I seem to think along much the same lines. Thanks for putting it into words.
Shaliach Thank you very much for the info and link. I loved John Denver and still have many of the old vinyls. You are not trespassing when you give us info like that. Iâm sure you know our rules anyway, so welcome!
Bigg any cinnamon buns left or did Marg take the last one? ;>(
Thanks for the breakie.
Dry I missed why you were taking the cats to the vet. Just normal shots, I hope. I remember taking my cat to the vet - what a fight!!! Even when he was really sick with a broken jaw he fought, but he was great when I had to keep the pin in line.
Hi Cleo We make bread very few days in the bread maker. I used to do four or eight loaves at a time. Now, we have fresh bread all the time. I miss the exercise (yeh, sure) but our maker works wonderfully and if we take the paddle out just after the initial rise, we only have a small hole to contend with. Doesnât heat the kitchen nearly as much and still smells wonderful!
The seventies for me were newlywed, new very demanding jobs, wonderful holidays and all no a blurr. Being Canadian, I missed the whole hippie thing by a year and just never got into it. But I do remember the sweet scent between doors in all the public buildings.
Dawn - What do you mean when you say âBeing Canadian, I missed the whole hippie thingâŠ? I lived in Vancouver during the early 70âs and was a total hippie. I used to hang out on Granville Street in front of Hudson Bay hoping to meet some nice young lady. The Hare Krishna used to forever be recruiting just around the corner. Those were the best days of my life.
Never mind the zzzzâs bmonk I just saw the funny cat photos of your link When I got to the kitten that drank to much coffee, it kind of made me jump, because i was not expecting that.
Dawn routine shots. One of the cats is a long hair, she showed on our doorstep Christmas Eve, tried to find the owners but never did. She was wearing a flea collar and had been declawed and spade. She is a nice cat, except when you have to do something to her. For example, she has to sedated to be groomed! I have too kind of a heart, plus my kids talked me into keeping her.
Dawn, the hippie thing passed me by. I quit college after two years, went to work for a couple of years, and got married. I lived at home until I was married, and never got near the hippie scene. My sister, howeverâŠ
Hi, Iâm back. Took a little nap under the clovers. Iâve gotten word from Marge that Iâm to meet two other lady friends with vivid imaginations such as me: âLadywolfâ and âkozykttnâ (âcozy kittenâ. Yes, I can sometimes read abbreviations).Good! Iâve already met the one called âDawnâ. Any other female members of this tribe I should be BFFâs (Best Friends Forever) with?
Sorry about that! I got back from a long nature walk to find Mua kind of sulky because I didnât take him to see all the lovely birds at the waterfront. bird sanctuary.
He did not read the post about praising Boots if he had anything small, furry and wriggling in his mouth, and rudely demanded that Boots share the Booty.
Iâll had a long talk with him and he apologises, and even directed to Boots to a few rodents on his owm.
Iâm so proud of him. Mua doesnât need to catch real rodents, he is quite good at catching shadows and other things on finds around here.
I just got home from work and have been thinking about my attitude and all this hyper activeness that i have done. I am now going to speak from my heart..
I have a fear, and for some time now it has been gnawing at me. What Iâm trying to say is, Iâm afraid of losing my imagination as I grow up into a young woman. I know that I only have one year of high school left. and Iâm expected to show some maturity. The reason that Iâm been overdoing it is because Iâm afraid that once I do start maturing, and I know that it has already begun, Iâm afraid of losing a part of me that can imagine good stories to write about. My Imagination is what causes me to be creative in writing. but I also wanted it for fun and games. I wanted to be like you all and have a good time playing, I just got carried a way with kozykitn27, in our fun, and now weâre no longer talking to each other.
I guess Iâm just afraid of growing up is all. Thank you for your time.
okay i am finaly home and freeâŠ.. well kind of i have a 17 month old running about and he is being crazy. but im here and i am so not going to catch up on all that i have missed. i will just start form here. shika i saw that you were leaving and i wanted to tell you to stay bc i miss you. i miss the whole tribe. sigh it has been almost a week
I know that song, Dry, but we sang it in school, so I donât know if that would have the same lyricsâŠ
ladywolf, I havenât lost all of my imagination yet, and I am entering my senior year of college, I did lose a lot when I stopped playing with legos, thoughâŠ
Once again hello all. I have been not particularly busy, but also not on the computer much. How are you feeling Lonewolf. I shall load the Tribal bank for those who need it.
Sometimes yâall make me wish I had another cat with all the fun and such you cat owners have. Iâve never been a cat person, but someone gave me one once. They were Korean college kids living in a condo that gave her to me. Less than a year old and they just couldnât take care of her properly. I took her in only because I didnât want to see an animal abused. She became the dog I could not have in a condo(renting). She also was the best thing that happened to me at the time(I was living alone at the time).
We had so much fun together. After I bought the house, she developed a disease of some sort which couldnât be fixed and soon after died. I was so broken that I said Iâd never own a cat again. But 4 years have passed and you all are making me think again. And luckily Doc(My husky, not you DocT) and our papillon get along with cats. Weâll see.
Has anyone else been having this problem recently?Sometimes when I make a comment, then post, I refresh the page and my comment has been posted, but what I wrote is still down in the comment area and needs to be deleted.
I like cats, but have always had dogs and I think the reason is because dogs are always happy to see you and cats are often not as demonstrative in their affection. All of my friends have cats, so I get to spend time with their cats. What is it about cats or cat lovers, one is not enough? Do cats need the companionship of other cats? I am just asking because you see a lot of houses with one dog, but not as many with just one cat.
I agree on the main reason I have also always had dogs is their show of affection. Whether your in a bad/good mood, too! But this cat was like a dog to me. Lick me all the time on the face, paw at me for food, greet me at the door. Very weird, like she new I wanted the affection of a dog.
Good evening everyone!! Iâve only just been skimming todayâs comments while I make my rounds, so just in case going to put a deposit into the bank.
I used to just have one cat - when I first moved to GA, that was all I could afford. And by the time I could afford more, she was just used to it being her house and every time I tried to introduce a stray, she got unhappy.
After she passed away, I knew I wanted to get two cats. I donât feel so bad when Iâm at work cause I know theyâve got each other to play with. And when I come home, they are at the door waiting to greet me.
But Iâve always been more of a cat person than a dog person.
I like households where people have both cats and dogs and they co-exist happily. My cousin, who has a small ranch, has both and there, that I know of, have never been issues between them.
Cleo To answer your question about posting comments, I know exactly what you mean!
Cleo and Terry I have had dogs all my life, I love dogs, then, long story, I ended up with a dog, and a pregnant stray female cat, smartest bleeep cat, who had kittens, we ended up keeping her and two of her kitties, eventually I ended up with my dog Charlie (female) and Hannah. Charlie died, then this cat showed up Christmas Eve, we kept her, then Hannah died, we still had Mittens and everyone thought she needed a playmate, so I researched and rescued a cat from ROFF, but my son wanted one cat and I wanted the other, so we came home with both. Now we have three cats! I was never a cat owner until Puss Puss showed up. I had lost my best buddies one year apart, ages 16 & 17, (dogs) went almost two years without a pet, and then along came Puss Puss. she seemed to know I needed a pet. And two of my cats act like dogs!!!
Hi MoPar I might have been outside when you waved. I actually decided to see if I could see a meteor. Think the moon was too bright and too much light population. A few times I thought I saw something, but was probably you.
MoPar - I agree, being nice is way more fun. When I first started commenting I got involved in the whole political debate thing and gradually got tired of the feeling that the whole thing generated in me. Now I stay away from it. I am not going to change anyoneâs mind, or am unlikely to at any rate. It was too stressful. I like Big Top, a site for fun and making good friends.
I think the only way to lose your imagination is to quit using it. And quit reading, or even better writing, thinking, being involved in discussions with knowledgeable people, and so on.
On the other hand, to develop as a writer takes discipline and dedication. Write every day, whether or not you have writerâs block. Keep writing, and sooner or later, you will begin writing to tell the story, and then you can go back and edit out the dreck. And editingâthatâs a whole ânuther story. But anyway: write until the imagination takes wing and lifts you into the sky.
Hard to catch the meteors, especially in the city, (and especially when you forget to look.) I have seen meteor showers before, and they are best by the ocean, or a Great Lake. there is no light, and no trees or buildings blocking the view.
I never have had a cat, but we have a dog, and he is fun to play with, donât know if I would want my own pet down the road though. Iâll figure that out when I can afford to keep myself, LOL!
hi *lonewolf how are you? i miss you also. dry i was back then i was gone again. lol its crazy the kid is crazy. lol it supper time for him he just finished eatting now laying on the ground playing with a truck. lol about to bring him home and bathe him. his nana (grandma) should be home any min now. be back later. peace and love all.
I feel so much better now that I spoke from my heart. It was like lifting a heavy burden then finally being able to put it down. With you guys here, I guess maybe I donât have to be scared of my fear. Is it okay for me to ask for a hug, at lease for reassurance to know that you all are there for me, or am I asking to much.
I miss you too tabby! I left because no one was talking so I assumed I was alone. Happens sometimes when I post.
Hi Terry!
Hi cleo About cats, I think cat owners have more cats because cats need company when their owners are home. they donât have the opportunity to go outside the way dogs do for walks.
The only reason I donât have another cat is that I cannât afford two pets financially. I worry about what will happen if Mua gets ill, since I have no money to help him. Vets are expensive.
I feel guilty about all the years he was left alone in my apartment when I worked 12-16 hour days. since Iâve been off work, heâs recovered his playfulness and doesnât sleep as much- and yet his is now over ten years old. He clearly was depressed about being left alone all day.
I think I may be in trouble at Mythtickle. I posted the entire lyrics to âPuff the Magic Dragonâ by Peter, Paul and Mary. I couldnât resist. Boody is so sweet and silly.
No worries, growing up changes you more than just physically, but that change is a good thing, and it doesnât mean that you are not still the kid you where on the inside. ( I know that I still am.) Now you take all that you have learned as a kid, and use it to be the best citizen you can, and try to leave this world a little better off than when you found it. I wonât be easy all the time, but I think you said somewhere, that you had another year, and when you are ready to go, you go, if you arenât ready after that year, college does not have to be the next step. You can take a semester, or even a year off, and work or travel. (I would work a little, because that money will come in very handy down the road.) In the words of Jim Morrison, âTake it easy, baby. Take it as it comes. Donât move too fast.â Hope that helps. I was fortunate enough to have good parents, and was ready for every obstacle I have met, and am in the process of conquering a few more. I did and am doing it, and I know you can too. :)
Ladywolf We love you here. donât worry about growing up. Age is all in your head. I am just as playful here as when I was your age. Use your imagination for your writing.
we all kid around here, but we try to be sensitive to others as well. Itâs a fine balance, but Iâm sure you will master it without losing your playfulness.
Make up with your friend Ladywolf Lifeâs too short to have spats. Just stay cool, calm and collected when you too are together here, and enjoy the company!
Dry How are you? I think that it depends on whoâs working this shift at Gocomics, as to what gets bleeeped! Iâve written bleeep sometimes, and it doesnât bleeep.
Shika - Down here they have pet insurance. I have never had it, but would that be an option for you in helping with vet bills? You have a good healthcare plan in Canada, maybe you can add pets as relatives. LOL
I know, I was kidding, that can definitely wait, maybe in the future, I will change my mind.
Re: Re: the Bleeps. What the bleeep are you talking about, that was as clear as bleeeping mud. LOL
Cleo Right now, I donât have enough money to pay for my own insurance! When I start earning money again, letâs say, in tow or three years, I want to get pet insurance for Mua. I hope it isnât too late, thatâs all.
shika lol you will get it soon enough are you joining Akentaâs foot ball thing? im thinking about itâŠ.. maybe i start school soon so i dont know if i will have time.
Tabby Thatâs what Iâm thinking- I wonât have time. I may join up to see what it is all about, but then ;thatâs not fair if I have to stop in a few weeks when I start school again.
Doc You should have been with me and my son today at our vets. Been dealing with him for over 20 years. Mittens was the foundling Christmas Eve. Nice cat, but when you try to do something with her, she FREAKS!!! I mean she FREAKS! That was a trip and a half! Molly is just as sweet as can be, she behaved the whole time, and Bella, she Freaks too, but she was good!
I had a great four hour walk and saw lots of cormorants, a kingfisher, Grebes, barn swallows, tree swallows, song sparrows, gold finches and mute swans.
And of course, Canada geese and mallard ducks.
and a painted turtle.
Boy, was it hot though. NOW we get the sommer. (Thanks cleo) I wanted to jump in the lake.
tabby and shika you can sign up and then just do nothing if you want. Think of the bragging rights you might end up if you win against the people who are really trying :-)
Shika Molly is all black with just a touch ( Like 5 hairs on her chest that are white. she is such a sweetheart. She reminds me in many ways of my late kittie Hannah, my original avatar on here. She was abandoned in the winter by her owners becasue she was pregnant and they decided they wanted a dog instead, so they called ROFF and said if they didnât take her, they would put her outside and let her fend for herself. Wonder how that dog is doing that they wanted? Poor thing!
Mittens is a long hair grey and white, see my previous post for her history, and Bella is black and white long hair, not quite a tuxedo, but close. She and her brother were dumped in the middle of winter when they were just a week old. Her brother died.
Makes you wonder about some of the human race, the way they treat babies, children, and animals, doesnât it?
I know what you mean DRY Our first cat Stormy was a gorgeous grey, black and white tabby with a white front and stomach, a white tip on her tail, and white socks.
We gat her from the vet who said her owners killed her kittens and brought her to the vet to be put down.
she was less than a year old, and we had her 20 years. She had emerald green eyes.
Dry Iâd love to have you visit! Iâm glad you enjoy being here too. The only places Iâve been in the States are places mriends or relatives have lived, and mostly big cities. Iâm not much of a city girl, even though Iâve lived in one.
I loved New Orleans though, and also the Aleghenny (sp?) hills in New York. I bought a small water colour by a local there for a momento. I love hills or mountains.
I keep wondering if we will get another dog, probably, but it wonât likely be soon. We are leaving for 3 weeks in mid September and we travel so much. But, I miss having a dog around. And when people walk by with their dog at their side, I feel this twinge of envy.
Travelling is another reason I donoât want more cats. Itâs had enough to bring Mua with me when Iâm able to, and good cat sitters are hard to find too.
Iâm sure you sill get another dog cleo. In time.
Shika Cats are easy, girl! Enough food, water, litter, and you are set to go! That is the ONE AND ONLY thing I donât miss about dogs, Kennel arrangements.
âI feel so much better now that I spoke from my heart. It was like lifting a heavy burden then finally being able to put it down. With you guys here, I guess maybe I donât have to be scared of my fear. Is it okay for me to ask for a hug, at lease for reassurance to know that you all are there for me, or am I asking to much.â
Heck! I hope you see thisâŠ
One definition of a friend is someone you can be yourself with, bare your heart, and trust it will not get trampled on. So, no, among the Tribe, I donât think you are asking too much.
However, remember that this is still a public forum. It does not, and cannot replace real live friends, people you can be with in the living skin. It has itâs own limits and dangers.
Vermont then? I know we were in the Allegenny Hills somewhere within driving distanst years ago.
I guess I mean (about cats and travelling) Iâts bad enough to rent a car for one cat, and I guess it would be no different if I had more, but again, it the money right now. Or lack of it.
cleo for affection, you canât beat a purring cat stroking your face at night. It is so sweet.
But I do love dogs too, and play with them when I get the chance.
I used to walk my aunt and uncleâs miniature poodle in Fla. and she would take me all arounf the compound (a gated community) to vist the regulars. The dogs, that is. LOL
Shika itâs nice to take your cat with you,but you donât have to. We have 2 pet taxiâs and since Molly is the calm one, we put a collar and leash on her to go to the vets, just like we did with Hannah, and my son sat wtih her. She sat just like she was in a chair at home! She is such a good kittie!
I know Dry I just hate to leave him when Iâm away from him when not on holidays. But the time is coming when I may have to leave him more and more. If I am earning money by then, Iâll get him looked after for me.
*Cleo The kennel we put Charlie Girl in was a great place, and we had no choice. But as soon as we hit that road, she knew where she was going and as soon as she saw the kennel owner, she got so excited! She liked being there!
Doc Youâre pulling my leg, right? Who thinks âPuffââ is about pot?
I guess I never thought about it. I was surprised when I heard that Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds was LSD. And âHey Judeââ was about shooting up.
robbie At least the 80âs, although Iâm pretty sure it was even before that. Peter, Paul and Mary have been around a long time, if they are still alive, that is. Which I think they are.
Doc I donât mean to talk shop on you, but I have a pet peeve with night stockers, at least in the grocery store I shop at. Iâve even written to complain, but no one cares.
Why do some stockers slit the cartons so deeply that they slice open several boxes of what is inside? I hate buying slit cereal boxes or cookie begs or whatever.
And they throw things around so that you open a bag of cookies in trays and they are all in peices.
Not all stores are like that here, but I have to shop where I can get the most value for my money, and this chain is all over the city. It seems to be just the one within walking distance for me that has the problem, at least on a regular basis. The other stores seem okay, but they take to long to get to by bus, or cost way more.
My parents used to own a country grocery, which I worked in as a teen. We would not cut open boxes with products that could also be cut by the box cutter, like cereal as a prime example.
Doc and cleo I have written complaints, but nothing gets done. I think it IS the management at this store. Now I just pick thought the boxes until I find a whole one.
I wish more people where like you two. I used box cutters at our store too, and we had one girl who slit deeply all the time. She said she didnât have time to be careful. I was criticized for being too slow.
Speaking of âPuffâ and âLucy in the Sky with Diamondsâ and the âSqueeze Boxâ, there was also that song a year or two ago about MilkshakesâŠ
I guess I was tired. I did manage to see the movie at another time.
Hi Marg! I saw Gran Torino twice. I love Clint Eastwood. I also saw a Fistful of Dollars, WOW! Clint was a young dude in that one.

Good morning and Happy THURSDAY!!!
I thought leg warmers was more of an 80s thing.
bigg that breakfast was great - you always do a good job at it, but this morning I was really hungry.

Hi Akenta! I thought leg warmers was a thing of the 80âs too. They are making a comeback though.

Hi AkentaâHow are you dear?
Shika I agree on trying the Fantasy Football. They give you all the numbers you need to play the games and rank your players. They could list them by numbers instead of names and you still would be able to compete. And it is a lot of fun, whether youâre in first or last.

Hi Cleo We make bread very few days in the bread maker. I used to do four or eight loaves at a time. Now, we have fresh bread all the time. He did not read the post about praising Boots if he had anything small, furry and wriggling in his mouth, and rudely demanded that Boots share the Booty.

Weâll see.

COWBOY7 over 15 years ago
Cleo
I agree on the main reason I have also always had dogs is their show of affection. Whether your in a bad/good mood, too! But this cat was like a dog to me. Lick me all the time on the face, paw at me for food, greet me at the door. Very weird, like she new I wanted the affection of a dog.
Akenta over 15 years ago
Good evening everyone!! Iâve only just been skimming todayâs comments while I make my rounds, so just in case going to put a deposit into the bank.
I used to just have one cat - when I first moved to GA, that was all I could afford. And by the time I could afford more, she was just used to it being her house and every time I tried to introduce a stray, she got unhappy.
After she passed away, I knew I wanted to get two cats. I donât feel so bad when Iâm at work cause I know theyâve got each other to play with. And when I come home, they are at the door waiting to greet me.
But Iâve always been more of a cat person than a dog person.
cleokaya over 15 years ago
I like households where people have both cats and dogs and they co-exist happily. My cousin, who has a small ranch, has both and there, that I know of, have never been issues between them.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago
I still want a dog to add to the family!
Sorry too for the long post!

Hi guys. Iâm back again, and free to chat.

we all kid around here, but we try to be sensitive to others as well. Itâs a fine balance, but Iâm sure you will master it without losing your playfulness.

Doc I donât mean to talk shop on you, but I have a pet peeve with night stockers, at least in the grocery store I shop at. Iâve even written to complain, but no one cares.
Why do some stockers slit the cartons so deeply that they slice open several boxes of what is inside? I hate buying slit cereal boxes or cookie begs or whatever.
And they throw things around so that you open a bag of cookies in trays and they are all in peices.
Isnât that wasteful?

Not all stores are like that here, but I have to shop where I can get the most value for my money, and this chain is all over the city.
