Umm–being pedestrian monks, we will just rise as usual (same theoretical time 360+ days per year–all but Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving, plus maybe 1-2 others), offer prayers, eat, and go about our business. But it does make getting up for Monday no harder than any other day…

BTW: poor Dusty and all–no, I take that back: Poor US! I got goose pimples (from horripilation) just thinking about that remake…

I saw your explanation of praying everyday for two hours and it reminded me ow when I was young. My little sister asked my mother how the priests and nuns could pray so much everyday at school and church and how many things could they be asking for. My mother told her that He was so busy, that He needed to be reminded from time to time about previous prayers. I had to laugh when I saw your post. Ah, the memories.

Won’t be around much (if at all) over the next two weeks or so. Not sure when I am leaving, but it will be abrupt, so in case it is sooner than later, Peace and love all! I already know that it’s going to be a white Christmas- where my mom and sister live. so although there is little or no snwo here, I am dressing for blizzard conditions. I leave on Wednesday afternoon, and return Sunday evening. All things considered, I’ll be scarce from Wednesday on. I haave a cat sitter for Mua. wish I could bring him with me.

so i spent the day cooking, well making fig tarts with my grandmother and my godmother. also wraping presnts, even wraped my own, go figure. now i am working on fixing supper for us. making some veggie soup.

Tabby, I was making soup too. Yesterday I made shrimp stock. Today I used some of that stock to make a cioppino for one of the nights that we are at my cousin’s house. All that will need to be done is to reheat it and add the crab, mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp, halibut and salmon.

MoPar, you guys would have a blast. How are you doing?

It started out at 51 this morning and has been cooling steadily since then. It is in the 30s now and a chance of snow, but nothing major. Still it makes crossing the pass on Wednesday give me some pause. So many people out here just do no have a clue how to drive in the stuff.
