Johnnydoc5 - Perhaps….. have you ever seen the movie Short Circuit?
Lonewolf - I really like that avatar today!
I don’t have time to talk. I FUBARed and will have one person knowing something I wasn’t ready to tell them. Also, have tons to do before morning. Fortunately, I had the sense to take a short nap before: Panic Mode!
sorry folks. had to suddenly vamoose to do a virus scan. i think the gremlins are definitely back. i don’t mind sitting in the back seat playing with the siren from somebody’s police car (whoops, song lyrics short circuiting thought processes again. wasn’t that a party?)
i will happily sit in the back seat on the way to breakfast, and don’t mind who drives as long as we get there in one piece.
anyhow, thanks to Dry for the enlightenment, but now i have to figure out who “Mon Soor” was. I think i know, and it’s a film in my collection if i’m right, so no big hoohah.
Morning TRIBE! Let’s see. DRY driving, CARMY shotgun asleep, JFRI and TABBY either in the backseat or trunk, and MARG on the roof. You want me to ride with these lunatics?
IHOPs is next to HOPS in my town. HOPS doesn’t sell pancakes. If you think I’m driving back with you, you’re nuts.
Wait for me. I’ll be on a blue bicycle with a white carnation.
I really want to smoke! Of course that would make me feel really really sick. So:
AUTOPSY DETAILS (Joke)
Has been removed due to a death in Tabby Lynn’s family.
Tabby Lynn I am sorry about your loss and offer you my sincere condolences.
I was about your age when I lost my great grandmother after a long painful death. Although I still miss her I take comfort in the fact I knew she was ready to go, and no longer wished to suffer.
Several years later, someone I knew lost his father in a similiar manner, but because he had a difficult relationship with his father he felt guilt over being relieved that his father had died, even though the relief was for an end to the suffering and he regretted that their relationship had not been closer.
I was able to use my own experience to bring comfort to him and reassure him.
I know nothing I say will help you in your time of loss, but I hope you will one day be able to use this experience in a way that helps someone else.
Oh, um.. I hope there isn’t anything I should have known before posting that……..
Add on: I am sorry. I use morbid humor to comfort myself, but should have had the consideration to remember that their are many of us with problems right now. And I have a unique sense of humor many do not share.
LuvH8
I never did see much of Captain Caveman, but I did like it. Actually, my avatar is a character called Grog from the Johnny Hart strip BC. I am actually considering changinig my pen name to Grog as well.
Hmm… I’m trying to remember if I know that. I knew you weren’t Captain Caveman, but couldn’t place you. Grog isn’t that some kind of alcoholic beverage?
I didn’t read the whole thread particularly the night cap. I was out for the count rther early last night and I’m actually trying to get some work done today.
Good morning, tribe!
Is anyone else having trouble with comicsdotcom?
Krewd - If you are bored, you might try going to the library. They usually have a lot of interesting stuff. Even for males of your age - my sons are 17 & 20, and enjoy going to certain libraries. If the library you go to doesn’t have what you’re interested in, try another, or ask if they do inter-library loans.
If you can’t beat them with intellect. Confound them with kindness.
Wow! My own advice (I think). BTW not being able to to beat them with intellect does not necessarily mean they are smarter. And sometimes they do not appreciate a strategic retreat.
Oh, I quit FB or FW because frankly I was ready to cyber slap the people in the comic, and did not feel like staying there just to entertain others. So I probably in am more in the dark than usual.
It’s a movie set in the early 80’s (I think) about a robot who is alive and chooses the name Johnny 5. Really kind of fun, and had a song called (I think): ‘Who’s Johnny?’ out at the same time.
Doc The kind of coffee that sends a seismic shock that runs from my head to my toes is a wave of instant awareness.
johnnyd a little Pink Floyd to begin the day… perfect.
Good morning, tribe. I’ll have the Rooty, Tooty from IHOP.
LuvH8 - very cute. I once worked in otolaryngology office at a medical school. Front desk had a pt call in and ask for the results of her autopsy. After they stopped laughing, put her through to the nurse for the biopsy results.
Nice catch yesterday, I think Carmy was asking about it.
Yep, a little Pink Floyd is a good way to start a day.
LuvH8, the 5 wasn’t part of my nickname, I just added it.
howdy all. not staying long, my back’s bothering me again (more like still) so I can’t sit for too long. Have fun at the IHOP, I’m going to Denny’s for the Moons Over My Hammy and a Coke.
Hi everybody who just got on, not doing the names, there are too many and I don’t want to miss anyone.
Carmy, yeah they are pretty trippy, but I can enjoy them without the aid of anything, legal or otherwise.
Alrighty, I have to head out for the day. Probably won’t make it back on.
Peace and love all!
Doc
I go from least favorite to favorite - unless it’s a couple minutes after midnight - then I go straight to Calvin and try to beat Marg to the first post. Haven’t done it yet.
Dry, I was shotgun. Marg and JFri were the ones that fell off the roof.
Bye, Johnny! Have a good day
Doc, I guess I should of posted a link, eh, call me lazy.
Cleo, I can’t imagine you being embarrassed.
Ha ha, no, I’m not related to Rory.
Doc, I don’t even come close to reading all the comics here.
BC13, I read some on the WA Post and some on CdotC.
Doc
I am impressed. I thought your handle had something to do with music. That’s a lot of toons.
I read a few over at comics.com that they don’t have here (like Peanuts) and sometimes a backup for the ones they do have here that are not colorized, like BC. It’s easier to tell who’s who on BC when they are in color.
Then there’s a few I read over at seattlepi.com like Hi & Louis, Blondie, Beattle Bailey & Dilbert.
so we had an intevent ful morning this morning. lol Ana woke up in a good moode then we had a tickle fight. and she got up to go potty, poor baby she was getting on the “potty” and couldnt hold it any longer. so we had to clean her up and clean up the bathroom. fun fun fun. i got all my invites printed out for my bday and will work on getting them out today. so that they call have them tomorrow.
I do my morning paper. CdotC, mydailyink (King Features), Sherpa on this site, Rip Haywire, Cats With Hands, Sheldon and a few more odds and ends. I read a few here and there in between other things, which is why you see me at odd times.
I read comics.com, Daily Ink, 2 at Houston Chronicle, and when I can’t get on comics.com, I use Yahoocomics.com. I also us ArcaMax for the New Yorker Cartoons and Jerry King. Oh and I read Chad Carpenter’s Tundra. Oh yea, and Creators.com for a different daily strip of One Big Happy, Cafe con Leche, Dogs of C Kennel, and Diamond Lil’. Boy, I read more comics than I thought!
Tabby, hee hee!! I’m banned from singing that song in my house. That’s because I always start off by reminding everyone about the Seinfeld episode where Elaine said that the original title for War and Peace was War, What is it Good For. LMBO!! I still laugh about it.
Carmy lol it was funny bc ana did that little grunt like sound they make when she tossed the ball and bug and myself both started singing it at the same time! LMBO!
you may sing away when you are here.
Cleo so i thought of you yesterday. some car i was behind had a bumber sticker on it and it read Cleo no clue why but thats all it said
Cleo naw, not when i hang out with you guys all day. :0)
notice to all, i will not be on tomorrow as of now. the furnel is tomorrow, and my dad is making me go to school. so it is off to school then get dressed in some random bathroom, then off to the furnel. not sure what time i will be home and if i will feel like talking or not.
LuvH8, when you can’t see the comments, especially at the start of the day, one problem on these high-volume comment pages is that you might still be looking at, say, page 4 or 5, but the yappy fellows haven’t gotten there yet–it takes a ten or even fifteen minutes sometimes. So it can help to go back one day and then forward again with the little buttons above the comic.
I wasn’t even gone that long and you all went all yappy! Also, yes, I am a toon aholic too. I started at a very young age with The Archies, Richie Rich, Mad, etc, etc.
Carmy I can’t remember what the first comic I read was. It seems like I have been reading them since day one, with my mom reading me the captions. I loved comic books and read Casper, Oswald the Rabbit, Disney cartoons. I still remember when Dennis the Menace and his family took a vacation to California and met Gary Cooper.
I think I read Casper also. I just can’t remember them all. I know there were several. I remember The Archies and all the spinoffs from that. Hey, Richie Rich’s dog’s name was Cash too.
bro just spent about 10 mins look for the can opener. well im sitting her rolling and say “i see it” he looks over at it, says “i hate you” grabs its and goes on his way
Tabby I removed the last one because I interpreted his gesture as the fact that he was embarrassed to be nude and well that certainly isn’t me, is it? LOL
Odd that last night youse guys were discussing Spaghetti, when we had a spaghetti bar for supper: spaghetti, cheese tortellinis, meat ravioli, with meat, tomato and seafood alfredo sauces for atop…Plus an assortment of wines for the meal.
If you don’t stop talkin’ food bunnyface, I’m going to have hit the peanut butter sandwich cookies I was just given. Apparently, one of my co-workers couldn’t say no to a girl scout’s mom and he’s got boxes of the stuff he’s trying to get rid of.
I just got in from my foray into this year’s fruit tree pruning. Fortunately, my wife asked if I wanted to go for a bike ride when she finishes her lunch, so I only clipped for about 15 minutes. I hate pruning.
It is sunny and 51 degrees, but there is a breeze.
I noticed that raspberries are starting to leaf out.
BC13, did you catch my question earlier? I noticed on your profile that you collect art. I collect some as well. What do you like to have in your collection?
*Shika my cousin collects teddy bears, lots of Teddy bears. Once they were remodeling a room in their house and I walked into a little used bathroom and was startled to see hundreds of eyes peering at me. They had put some of her bears in the shower stall and closed the glass door, to get them out of the way and it was stacked up past the halfway mark with multitudes of bears.
Cleo
Sorry I missed your question. I’ll give you a rundown when I get home. I’ve got to get some things done right now. I will be going to Galveston this Saturday to loook at (another) Kinkade piece, but that’s not all I have.
My cousin just got their weekend home rebuilt in Galveston. They had major damages to it and also lost a new pontoon boat, plus the house in Houston had some water damage as well.
When Monkey 2 was about one year old she had one of those sorting toys. It was a yellow canister with a blue lid. The kind you put green triangles, red circles and blue rectangles in.
Her dad set it up in front of her and told her to put the shapes in the canister.
Monkey 2 took the lid off the canister, put the shapes inside and put the lid back on.
so proud of me! i got the dishes done. lol now on to the clothes, the last load is in the washer and the rest is sitting in the basket acroos the room looking at me.. i dont want to fold them.
oh and i was going to go wash my car the other day then i thought it was just to cold for that, then re thought that and said, hum its safer to go when its cold insted of summer time. :0)
Cleo your new avatar is SO CUTE! I was going to comment this am that the other one made you look embarrassed, but Carmy beat me to it! I thought perhaps you had gained some modesty in your “all togethers”, LOL!
I just counted, on a day when I read them all, I read 180 strips scattered around diff. sites. I have these, comics.com and Daily Ink emailed, so I can save them for later on if I don’t have time.
cleo
I guess your cousin wasn’t very lucky, property wise. I was lucky in my area, but some co-workers who live in Seabrook were not. But they were more fortunate than the ones in Galveston who chose to go down with their homes.
I’m still waiting for the Top Water Grill in San Leon to reopen.

On the subject of art, I first started collecting when the powers that be decided to close down our Montreal Office. I got to buy some great art at fire sale prices. The rest of the more expensive pieces were donated to the Montreal Museum of Fine Art.
Anyway I bought a piece from Jonathon Little called Sherbrooke at Peele. I bought 2 works from Peter Ewart called Above Camloops Lake and Rogers Pass.
I also have another piece of the Montreal Old Port by Mario Gross.
When I moved to Edmonton, I met an artist from Saskatchewan by the name of Jerry Doell. I really liked some of his works and bought one called Northern Lake Sunset and another called Frasier Canyon Train.
The above works are all originals except Northern Lake sunset.
When I moved to Dallas I learned more about the works of Thomas Kinkade, but it wasn’t until I moved to League City tht I really seriously started to collect them. My collection is heavy on cabin & outdoors, autumn and city themes. I now have about 20 of which 3 are very limited editions.
When I visited Dallas last June, I visited the Southwest Gallery where I fell in love with a number of the works from RW. Hedge. I walked out there with a piece called Monument Valley and later purchased New Day which is a view of a certain part of the Grand Canyon. These are also originals.
Kinkdade did one of the Grand Canyon but it was awfull, in my opinion. I’ve been wanting to get one of the Canyon since I visited there over 10 years ago.
That’s about it, uless you’d like more details on my Kinkade holdings.
I am very familiar with a lot of the areas your art work represents, such as Roger’s pass, Kamloops and the Fraser Canyon, also Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon. I was born in Manitoba and have cousins in the Kamloops area as well as Jasper, Alberta. My first original was by a friend of my dads who he met when stationed in Edmonton, Alberta. He actually lived with the artist and his wife and when my dad died I inherited the painting. I have a mix of art that has begun in recent years to swing to the more impressionistic style.
I used to spend my winters down in Edcouch, TX so I am pretty familiar with the state and I worked as a travel photographer/writer, so I am pretty familiar with most anywhere in North America.
Dry yes, the other avatar just didn’t work. It is really tough to find good avatars for me and I have had to get creative to find new ones by including new wording into my google searches.
cleo
If you’re ever in Dallas, check out the Southwest Gallery. There are a large variety of works that make me wish I were a multi-millionaire so that I can get my hands on a number of them. They are in North Dallas a little ways above LBJ Freeway.
It is funny, I just now google Peter Ewart as I did some of the other artists you mention and the one image of his that I clicked on called “Mountain Scene” is of a mountain near to where I live called Mt. Shuksan. It happens to be the most photographed mountain in the world and it has made it’s way into many paintings and commercials as well. I think that it is one of the most beautiful mountains that I have ever witnessed.
cleo
Funny you say that. I tried last year and I don’t think I could come up with anything on him, though I was able to find something on Little.
I also have a few Christmas themed works that I forgot to mention. I’m beginning to like his Plein Air/Impressionist work. In fact, I’ll be viewing a Plein Air of Rainbow Row, Charleston.
LuvH8 - Your story reminded me of my oldest son when he was around the age your daughter was. He had one of those wood “cobbler’s” benches. It had wood pegs of different shapes, and the bench with matching shaped holes. There was a wood mallet to bang the pegs through the holes. He actually pounded a square peg through a round hole by hitting it hard enough it rounded the corners of the peg. He disproved the saying that “you can’t put a square peg in a round hole!”
I have a Peter Max from his Patriot Series, an H.C. Porter ( who combines photography and painting), a couple of Jean-Claude Picot, a Ric Munoz, Emile Bellet, Charles Lee, Elizabeth Rose, John Fehringer, Bill Reid and sculptures by Phillip Tidd (from BC, as is Bill Reid) and I have and Egyptian papyrus painting by A Shraz. I also have a lot of my photos on our walls as well as my mother’s, who was a wonderful water color artist.
Evening, all! Just back from a light supper–French Lentil soup (don’t have a clue as to the recipe), with buns and assorted European cheese. Can’t stay too long either–but not quite a Shika slip (T)…
Cleo
Your collection is certainly more diversified than mine. From what I could see online, There’s a few that I like, but I think I like the Charles Lee the most. However, it wouldn’t fit in with style that I have elected to go with long ago. I think I have that much more appreciation for it.
My problem is when I find something I like I stick with it. I wouldn’t be surprised if I bought another Hedge this year, but Southwest also has some very good French impressionist artsits that I may take a closer look at. I almost bought one last year over the Hedge.
Hi, Terry! All this talk about paintings, reminds me of my mother’s artistic talent. My avatar is one she painted of my dad harvesting wheat for another farmer. I just went around her house a few days ago, and took pictures of her various artwork. She painted canvas & china, sewed anything anyone could imagine, dabbled in stained glass, crocheted, and probably other arts & crafts I can’t recall at the moment. Her quilts & her paintings (except for some china) won’t be leaving the family, because I’ll take any of it that my siblings don’t want. (I had received some while she was still able to make them, so I am trying to not be greedy.) The rest of her arts & crafts hopefully will go to people who knew & loved her, so will appreciate them all the more.
I’ll have to post them on my photobucket account, because the small size of the avatar doesn’t do her work justice.
Terry yes, it is a gorgeous area. Did you also see Mt. Baker which is right near Shuksan and is a dormant volcano, that still releases steam every once in awhile. The Mt. Baker Ski area, which has both mountains is one of the most popular snowboard areas and every Feb. holds the world snowboard banked slalom contest. That area also holds every snow record in the world, most snow in a day, most in a month, most in a year. It is very popular for commercials because there is snow available all year.
Which reminds me, I’ve got to get back to a project my youngest son is begging me to do. A quilt of his that was a joint project between myself & my mom, back when he wasn’t school aged yet, is falling apart, because of his constant use of it. He doesn’t want to give it up, and has asked for me to repair it. Unfortunately, some of the fabric has worn away, so I’m going to have to replace all the strips that connect the blocks together. I’ve got to measure to see how much fabric that will take. I’ve never made a quilt, just sewed, and watched my mom. I thought there wasn’t anything my mom couldn’t make or repair, and I think my sons feel the same way about me sometimes.
BC13, my wife and I are swinging more and more away from Fehringer and going with more abstract pieces. We also have some folk art that is downright funky by L.V. Hull. You can see her work online as well. We have very bold color in our house and our artwork is beginning to reflect this change in our lifestyle.
cleo
Here is a link to my Grand Canyon painting. I’m surprised they still have it listed, but it is listed as sold. But you can also see what else they have is stock, which is something for every taste.
Cleo, I knew of Mt Baker, but did not realize it was close to Mt Shuksan. I’m going to check images for that as well.
Rmom– Wolfangil and her mother have done quilts all of their lives. They have many, both ones they use and ones for their contests. Wolfangil has so many bolts of fabric and different thread that she could open up her own fabric store. LOL
I’m uploading Mom’s arts & crafts that I’ve already taken pictures of, right now. I guess I ought to wander around my house & take pictures of stuff here, too. It is hard to get a good photo of her artwork, where there is enough light, no shadows, no glare & in focus, so to really be appreciated, they have to be seen in person.
The contest quality quilts are usually made of 100% cotton, but my mom was the pioneer-type of quilter - whatever scraps she had, that’s what went into the quilts. She rarely bought anything but batting and the backing just for a quilt. Some of her quilts could probably have won contests, but she never entered any. They were always a labor of love for someone. My sons always have preferred the quilts my mom made for them, rather than their other grandma. Mom made quilts you felt like cuddling up under, rather than the type you hung on a wall like a museum piece.
Terry - My hubby is taking my PT to the mechanic tonight! He got a quote of $600 including changing the water pump, if I remember correctly. Much better than the $900-$1000 from a dealer, which I’m not sure if that price included the pump or not.
*Hi Shika! I was just checking in to see what was “happenin”!”
Today is Ash Wednesday. I can’t have any meat! At least, I’m not supposed to. But that’s okay!
I believe bunnyface uses the term “Sundry” or Sundrie”.
Hi Dry Yes. Sundry sounds right, lol Close enough. I imagine some Anglo Catholics (in my church) don’t eat meat either today. I wasn’t thinking when I talked about the sandwich. We didn’t observe that growing up as Anglicans.
Terry - I had to ask my husband when he told me about the water pump being included, but since he had mentioned that a lot of stuff has to be disconnected, I wasn’t too surprised. It seemed to be working okay, but a little preventive care at this point is probably wise. From what he saw while dropping it off, he’s pleased with the mechanic so far.
I got the pictures posted, so now I need to get ready for bed.
Good night!
Pulling a Shika to reply to Shika!
I’m not at my computer as much either. I’ve been going to mom’s about 4 days a week to get it ready for the buyers. Add that to my normal workload, and you see why I’ve been a busy person.
When Mary had a little lamb
The doctor was surprised

Greetings Everyone!
Thank you BC 13.
I have been experiencing technical difficulties. Both with my internet connection and my brain. So pardon me for missing things.
I still haven’t caught up on yesterday, and probably won’t try until at least this evening.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Okay, have to go panic some more. Today’s advice:
If you can’t beat them with intellect. Confound them with kindness.
Wow! My own advice (I think). BTW not being able to to beat them with intellect does not necessarily mean they are smarter. And sometimes they do not appreciate a strategic retreat.
Oh, I quit FB or FW because frankly I was ready to cyber slap the people in the comic, and did not feel like staying there just to entertain others. So I probably in am more in the dark than usual.

Good morning all!
LuvH8, no I haven’t seen it. Why?
Ooops! Premium Member almost 15 years ago

Doc I go from least favorite to favorite - unless it’s a couple minutes after midnight - then I go straight to Calvin and try to beat Marg to the first post. Haven’t done it yet.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Doc I don’t read them all either. I’d never get any work done for one and second there are strips I don’t like (GASP!)

Cleo, I can’t imagine you being embarrassed. Ha ha, no, I’m not related to Rory. Doc, I don’t even come close to reading all the comics here. BC13, I read some on the WA Post and some on CdotC.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
BC13, most everybody but me does. For me, it is the few strips here and a few in our paper.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Carmy nope, but it is tough to find good avatars.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Doc I am impressed.

(((Tabby))), you’ll be in our prayers.

Once they were remodeling a room in their house and I walked into a little used bathroom and was startled to see hundreds of eyes peering at me.
I was so proud of her!

cleo On the subject of art, I first started collecting when the powers that be decided to close down our Montreal Office.
That’s about it, uless you’d like more details on my Kinkade holdings.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
I am very familiar with a lot of the areas your art work represents, such as Roger’s pass, Kamloops and the Fraser Canyon, also Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon. I was born in Manitoba and have cousins in the Kamloops area as well as Jasper, Alberta. My first original was by a friend of my dads who he met when stationed in Edmonton, Alberta. He actually lived with the artist and his wife and when my dad died I inherited the painting. I have a mix of art that has begun in recent years to swing to the more impressionistic style.
I used to spend my winters down in Edcouch, TX so I am pretty familiar with the state and I worked as a travel photographer/writer, so I am pretty familiar with most anywhere in North America.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Dry yes, the other avatar just didn’t work. It is really tough to find good avatars for me and I have had to get creative to find new ones by including new wording into my google searches.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
cleo If you’re ever in Dallas, check out the Southwest Gallery. There are a large variety of works that make me wish I were a multi-millionaire so that I can get my hands on a number of them. They are in North Dallas a little ways above LBJ Freeway.
I know I’ll go back there on my next trip.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
It is funny, I just now google Peter Ewart as I did some of the other artists you mention and the one image of his that I clicked on called “Mountain Scene” is of a mountain near to where I live called Mt. Shuksan. It happens to be the most photographed mountain in the world and it has made it’s way into many paintings and commercials as well. I think that it is one of the most beautiful mountains that I have ever witnessed.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
cleo Funny you say that.
May I inquire what your collection is like?
Smiley Rmom almost 15 years ago
LuvH8 - Your story reminded me of my oldest son when he was around the age your daughter was. He had one of those wood “cobbler’s” benches. It had wood pegs of different shapes, and the bench with matching shaped holes. There was a wood mallet to bang the pegs through the holes. He actually pounded a square peg through a round hole by hitting it hard enough it rounded the corners of the peg. He disproved the saying that “you can’t put a square peg in a round hole!”

Lonewolf Maybe for next year, you might want to try getting a calendar from Kinkade. Those are nice, and it’s a new image every day
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
I have a Peter Max from his Patriot Series, an H.C. Porter ( who combines photography and painting), a couple of Jean-Claude Picot, a Ric Munoz, Emile Bellet, Charles Lee, Elizabeth Rose, John Fehringer, Bill Reid and sculptures by Phillip Tidd (from BC, as is Bill Reid) and I have and Egyptian papyrus painting by A Shraz. I also have a lot of my photos on our walls as well as my mother’s, who was a wonderful water color artist.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
I also have works from artists in Italy that I bought on our travels, plus local artists whose work I admire.

Evening, all! Just back from a light supper–French Lentil soup (don’t have a clue as to the recipe), with buns and assorted European cheese. Can’t stay too long either–but not quite a Shika slip (T)…
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Oh…how could I forget. I also have an original Winnie the Pooh Disney cell and 3 gocomics originals.

Good Evening Everyone.
BC13, thank you. I’ll check out the net for a calendar with T. Kinkade images. I just love his artwork.

Hi Rmom, Doc, Cleo & Bunnyface(bmonk).
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Cleo, I have been checking out images of Mt. Shuksan on Bing and it is a very beautiful mountain. The surrounding area is awesome!
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Cleo Your collection is certainly more diversified than mine.

I’ll have to post them on my photobucket account, because the small size of the avatar doesn’t do her work justice.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago

We have very bold color in our house and our artwork is beginning to reflect this change in our lifestyle.

cleo Here is a link to my Grand Canyon painting. I’m surprised they still have it listed, but it is listed as sold. But you can also see what else they have is stock, which is something for every taste.

Rmom I like that painting. Very nice.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Cleo, I knew of Mt Baker, but did not realize it was close to Mt Shuksan. I’m going to check images for that as well.
Rmom– Wolfangil and her mother have done quilts all of their lives. They have many, both ones they use and ones for their contests. Wolfangil has so many bolts of fabric and different thread that she could open up her own fabric store. LOL

Lonewolf They should have, both, dailey and monthy formats at any authorized dealer near you - or maybe online, but I’m not sure about that.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Thanks for the idea, BC13.
Smiley Rmom almost 15 years ago
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Rmom, are you putting them on photobucket?
Smiley Rmom almost 15 years ago
Terry - My hubby is taking my PT to the mechanic tonight! He got a quote of $600 including changing the water pump, if I remember correctly. Much better than the $900-$1000 from a dealer, which I’m not sure if that price included the pump or not.
Smiley Rmom almost 15 years ago
Yep, but they are only about 70% uploaded.
Smiley Rmom almost 15 years ago
They (hubby & son) just drove in. BBL - either tonight or tomorrow.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Rmom, $600. is a good price for that job. And you replace the water pump because your already there. Just 6-8 more bolts to remove the pump.
Talk at you later.
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I’m back from the service.
It’s been busy here tonight.
cleo!! Where are you?Everytime I’m here you are eating or sleeping. What’s with that?
bmonk Your light dinner sounded delicious.
I had a meeting befrre church and someone bought me a Portuguese chicken sandwich. Must have had a pound of roast chicken in it. It was wonderful.

Bye Tabby I keep missing you too.
Hello to all and sunder, for want of another word.

*Hi Shika! I was just checking in to see what was “happenin”!” Today is Ash Wednesday. I can’t have any meat! At least, I’m not supposed to. But that’s okay! I believe bunnyface uses the term “Sundry” or Sundrie”.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Hi Shika!
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Hi Dry Yes. Sundry sounds right, lol Close enough. I imagine some Anglo Catholics (in my church) don’t eat meat either today. I wasn’t thinking when I talked about the sandwich. We didn’t observe that growing up as Anglicans.
Hi Terry

Shikamoo Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Yes. I’m not here as much. Well, I’m at my computer, but working on assignments.
How are you rmom?
Smiley Rmom almost 15 years ago
Terry - I had to ask my husband when he told me about the water pump being included, but since he had mentioned that a lot of stuff has to be disconnected, I wasn’t too surprised. It seemed to be working okay, but a little preventive care at this point is probably wise. From what he saw while dropping it off, he’s pleased with the mechanic so far. I got the pictures posted, so now I need to get ready for bed. Good night!
Shikamoo Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Good Night rmom I like your avatar.
I’m writing snail mail to my mom, so I’ll be distracted…
More than usual.
Smiley Rmom almost 15 years ago
Pulling a Shika to reply to Shika! I’m not at my computer as much either. I’ve been going to mom’s about 4 days a week to get it ready for the buyers. Add that to my normal workload, and you see why I’ve been a busy person.
