Hello, Johnny, Lonewolf, MisngNOLA, Akenta, LuvH8, Dry & Everyone else. I’m off to a late start this morning.
LuvH8, I saw the change late last night, but I didn’t want to lose any of my “grogginess” by posting to anyone’s comments. However I gotta say I LOVE it.
Dry, I’ve been trying to think of something relevant from “Kelly’s Heroes” to counter with and I think I remember the end where Maitlin comes into the bank and sees ”Up Yours, Baby” on the wall.
That movie has a great cast, great theme by the Mike Curb Congregation and oodles of memorable lines:
Oddball?! He’s A freak!”It’s a mother beautiful bridgeThe fuel system leaks all over the place! This things heavier than Kelsey’s burgers!Have a bottle of booze, Baby. You’re Beautiful!
And of course, there are many more, but I haven’t got all morning.
Doc - I learned many years ago, to never admit I was bored, because that was a code word for my parents to find me work to do. I now do the same with my kids!
But make sure you get enough rest, just in case they call you in on your night off.
Hi Terry! - Thanks for asking. Yes, my day will get quite busy. This is the calm before the storm. I need to get breakfast and get my son started on his schoolwork, then head off to Mom’s house again. At least M-W of this week, I can give myself the calm first. The sale starts on Thursday, so I’ll have to wait until evening to relax on those days. Two of my brothers went back to OK where they live, so now I’ll just have to deal with the other 2 siblings. There’s always room for conflict, but since there is enough to do, I think I can give my sister (a/k/a General) areas where she can be doing and/or directing work - particularly with my remaining brother. Not that I won’t have a fair amount of work to do after this week, but this should be the worst.
Terry - Yep! I’m making plans to go spend a couple of days with my husband at his trailer. I’m sure it is overdue for my maid service, but other than that, it is a pretty relaxing time. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds some of his work to delegate to me, if I show up at his office. Oh, well. At least it would be a change in scenery, and tasks.
Cleo, one of the appointments from yesterday rescheduled for today and I also need to set up a follow-up interview at the Federal Bldg. downtown. Straightening up my tool boxes needs to be done also, but…………………………we’ll see. LOL
Cleo - Getting ready for the estate sale, besides a little school work. (I’m giving him the week off from Algebra, so that I can spend more time at my mom’s house.) I borrowed tables from her church, however, they didn’t have as many as I would have liked. I’m trying to figure out what to do for additional tables. I might try to borrow some from my church, but I don’t have my brothers in town now, to do the heavy lifting. I think we’ll just be putting some boards on sawhorses, etc., and see if that will be sufficient. There is so much stuff, we won’t probably be able to get it all displayed at once. Well, my calm time is over - see y’all later!
Dry, for you to be able to spit those lines out from memory, I’d have to say you’ve seen that movie as many times as I have - if not more. I’ve seen it so many times, I’ve lost count.
It’s not that bad, actually, and it looks like they’ll be done shortly. Tearing heck out of my silver maple’s surface roots, though…wonder if it’ll survive…
Yeesh. Just got off the phone with the propane people. Voice-mail tag, as usual. We live in an all-electric development, so we’ve got to lease a 250 gal. tank for the hot tub.
See, that’s what I’m afraid of. There’s already several local kids salivating over the prospect of a neighborhood pool. The city closed the public pool for liability reasons; there was a cryptosporidium outbreak here in North Texas a few years ago. I’m gonna have to draw up a release form…
Grog ~ Maybe if we start the comic round close enough I could do the bunny hop and follow you. Then we could really mess with people! Of course they might already be used to it. (Blows Raspberry!)
A couple of hunters were out in the woods when one of them fell to the ground clutching his chest. After struggling for a few seconds, he seemed to stop breathing.
The other guy quickly pulls out his cellphone and dials 911. He gasps to the operator, “My friend is dead! What should I do?”
In a soothing voice, the operator says, “Try to remain calm, sir. I can help you. First, we need to make sure he’s dead.”
Immediately the operator heard a shot.
The frantic hunter comes back on the line and says, “Okay, now what?”
Hello all. I just stopped in to see what you guys are up to. Too much fun, it looks like. Well, I am out on my hands and knees weeding the blueberries. Poor me at least it is warm and sunny. Carry on. BBL
@LuvH8, the same hunter (the survivor) was out on another expedition with a new partner when they had another accident: he shot his new partner. Well, knowing better this time, he didn’t waste any time by calling 911, but just brought him into the emergency room himself.
“Is he gonna live, Doc?”
“Well, he might have had a chance–until you field dressed him…”
bunny, I had to make a quick comment after yours at Pibgorn. I finished weeding the blueberries and fertilizing them and now I am going to go on a hike.
JFri are you still down in the land of sunshine and smog?
JFri I have never liked weeding, but today was kind of nice, perfect temps and I am now having to take over more of the yard since LilG is working more.
Dry, yes this avatar suits my general attitude about life.
JFri thanks for the Bookers, it hits the spot as usual. LilG is a Nurse Delegator. She works with adult family homes as needed, going in to delegate tasks that need a nurse to do or to instruct the caregiver as to how to do a procedure. It pays well and is perfect for her with her disability. She does not need to walk great distances or be on her feet for long periods of time. It is a new field in this state and she got in on the ground floor, so to speak.
Dinette Set was in my email for today, but when I clicked on add comment it took me to my home page. It would be nice if they would tell us why they dropped a strip. It wasn’t one of my favorites but I did get a kick out of it.
Dry, the same thing happened to me. Like you say, it wasn’t one of my favorites, but sometimes the details added were amusing, possibly distracting people from the characters’ dialogue. Which may not have been such a bad thing.
Dinette Set had characters that I am glad that I don’t have for friends. It made for an interesting and mildly amusing strip. Well, I guess my day of cartoon reading has been decreased slightly.
It was Oddball. They had to change meeting times because the boys had “somethings special planned for tonight”
“Crap” Game says “What could be more special than 16 Million bucks
“You stick around, “Crap” Game and you’ll find out.
Kelly says, “Alright then tonight’s out. Same time tomorrow night. If you’re late…”
“If we’re late, it’s because we’re dead.”
Dry, Did you know that Donald Sutherland was a big Montreal Expos fan? We sometimes saw him at the game on television and one evening I got my company tickets to the game (which I often did). On that one day, Sutherland was there, in our section, when we were there. My buddy actually says “Hi Oddball. Woof, Woof” to him.
Listen, about the first poster has to serve breakfast rule. I am unable to comply.
I do not know how to serve such a wonderful large group of people. I never wanted to be the first poster today, but went ahead and made my post so that I could go to bed.
I am not a breakfast person. I don’t eat my first meal until lunch time.
Marg! Rule ten does not apply to me. My comment does count unless Gocomics says otherwise.
The only rule that I know to follow here, is the one that Doc told me. which is no discussion of religion and politics. Which I do follow because I have a great deal of respect for him.
JFri, while on business in New York in the late 70’s, I went to a sports bar down there. I was in a 3-way conversation with Bob Berry who was then coach of the L.A. Kings and a coach from the NBA who I can’t recall. Berry would later go on to coach the Canadiens.
It was quite common to go to Montreal sports bars and see stars of the Canadiens before and after games. Larry Robisnon, Gob Gainey and Guy Carbonneau quickly come to mind. You could even see some of the Expo players there on occasion, Particularly Andre Dawson.
Grog, Guy Carbonneau is the father-in-law of Brendan Morrow who played his major junior hockey career with the Portland WInterhawks, a fan favorite! Wouldn’t want to be making HIM mad as his son-in-law!
When I was outside doing my yard work I noticed a lot of bugs, something that I haven’t, up until today seen. They were annoying, flying around and around my head. Now, they seem to be here. How annoying. I wish I could swat them.
This daylight savings thing will take some getting used to. I lost track of time because the sun was still out. That was weird. I am glad I wasn’t actually late for anything.
Dry and everyone I didn’t come back to insult anybody or to make you all angry at me again. I came back because I feel that I am ready to be a part of the Tribe. I believe that I can be mature enough to hang out here with you all.
johnnyd it is taking me longer to get used to Daylight savings as well. It never has in the past, but I have had a tough time getting up the past couple of days.
Another good one, Carmy I have it on a separate DVD. And I can’t say I have the lines memorized like I do Kelly’s Heroes. Did you see our lines from the movie throughout the day. It’s almost as though we had the script in front of us. *Hy* even added a few gems.
LW18, It’s already spring break down here. It makes for more pleasant drives into work. Unfortunately, it’s not quite the same going home. I think everyone’s heading to Galveston.
Carmy, I think I have seen both of those, I know I have seen The Dirty Dozen, but it was a long time ago.
Is Kelly’s heroes the one with Donald Sutherland, where they find the gold? If it is, then I have seen that one too, but it also was a long time ago.
Johnny, at least LW18 still has it to look forward to.
Eastwood, Sutherland and a great supporting cast do go behind German lines for a Bank heist of 16 million bucks in gold bars. See today’s comments tor a summary of some of the best lines.
Carmy, I was busy this past weekend, so I missed all the chatting.
I would like to see both of them again, but I can’t sit still through a whole movie very often.
For my spring break, I had my wisdom teeth out on Monday and worked Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday for a total of 48 hours. I’ve had more relaxing breaks, but I still enjoyed this one.
yes Johnny Kelley’s Heroes has Donald Sutherland, Clint Eastwood, Don Rickles, Carrol O’Conner, Telly Savalas, and many more great actors. and yes, the gold! The GOLD!! The GOLD BARS! What a COOL movie! Seen it a bizillion times and love it more each time!
I only remember Sutherland because he drove the tank, I was 7 or so when I saw it.
I see the quotes were today, I will have to watch that, maybe this weekend….
Heavy Metal is a headache, loud heavy metal is a big headache. Carmy, it wasn’t that bad after Wednesday, and I was back on solid food (sort of) by Thursday. I think it would have gone better if I hadn’t been allergic to the pain killers they gave me. I did not help myself by pulling out two of the stitches on my own either.
Big ouch, Johnny! Are you all okay now?
When I was expecting daughter #2, a root canal that I had done months earlier became infected. Since I was preggers they really couldn’t give me anything, except some to fight the infection. My left cheek was so swollen. Once the swelling went down the dentist (he wasn’t the same one that did the botched root canal) gave me the option on whether to redo the root canal or pull it. I said, pull it!
LW18, I will admid to owning some Shanaya Twain, but that’s about as C&W as I get. I also have that song from “Smokey & the Bandit”, “East bound & Down” Love that song. I prefer rock & Blues. I do like AC-DC, Zep, Queen, Aerosmith from the heavier bands. But I like various music from the ‘50’s on up.
Geez Grog, is that alphabet for your movies?
Ouch Carmy! I hate having anything done to my teeth, and they always seem more sensitive than the rest of me. I was actually fine with the wisdom teeth, until I had to work, that was unpleasant, but I am fine now.
As for music, I have two rules, and they are related:
1) I don’t like almost anything that has come out during my lifetime. (The list of exceptions is growing though.) And as a result,
2) My favorite bands have at least one founding member who has died. Morbid yes, but it works for me.
Yes, I do, Johnny. I have a good number of them.
I think I ranked my top 6 on the weekend, but they would include Notorious, Rebecca, Saboteur, North By Northwest, Suspicion & Rear Window if I remember correctly.
My turn to pull a Shika.
Grog, I try to head up to my friends place every so often, as he has all of the Hitchcock movies. I liked Dial M for Murder, and he has recommended a lot of the ones on your list, but he does have a crush on Grace Kelly, so I will likely see Rear Window next.
Now I am off to bed for real. Peace friends!
LW18, I have that one, too. I have a number of them that I haven’t even mentioned. I am planning on getting the original Man who knew too Much, which starred Peter Lorre. Of course, the later version with Stewart & Day was color and had more star power. But after seeing the original, I preferred the unpolished B&W version. It also wasn’t as long-winded as the re-make.
Carmy, I hope not. I’ve pulled it a couple of times, myself. But I often hit the refresh button after I’ve posted and find that I missed a post before mine I must respond to.
Grog, of course I’ve come back and added something after the fact. It’s like a Columbo thing. I meant that since some of say we’re making a “Shika Move”, that she should cash in on that.
You do know that I’m only joking, right?

Yeesh. Just got off the phone with the propane people. Voice-mail tag, as usual. We live in an all-electric development, so we’ve got to lease a 250 gal. tank for the hot tub.
Details, details.

Cleo, LOL! Slugs!
Love your avatar BTW!
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Cleo, that might be the most appropriate avatar for you yet.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Hello Dry & johnnyd. I found this avatar by accident. I like it too.
The Duke 1 almost 15 years ago
cleo, “after our departure”?? What on earth would make you think we would leave? SNERK AND SNORT!!!
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Well, I usually try to head home within four hours of my bedtime. (And since I am never early, guess which side of my bedtime I get home by. :-D)
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
See, that’s what I’m afraid of. There’s already several local kids salivating over the prospect of a neighborhood pool. The city closed the public pool for liability reasons; there was a cryptosporidium outbreak here in North Texas a few years ago. I’m gonna have to draw up a release form…
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
Oh, and if you don’t like Bacardi or Stoli, bring your own liquor.

Bacardi and Stoli are just fine with me.

GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I was thinking the same thing, LuvH8. Maybe some time this week we may actually be synchronized on the other comic pages and freak some people out.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Probably even better still on Holloween with a spooky version.

COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Hi LuvH8–Have a good afternoon!
Hi Shika!

Hello all. I just stopped in to see what you guys are up to. Too much fun, it looks like. Well, I am out on my hands and knees weeding the blueberries. Poor me at least it is warm and sunny. Carry on. BBL
bmonk almost 15 years ago
@LuvH8, the same hunter (the survivor) was out on another expedition with a new partner when they had another accident: he shot his new partner. Well, knowing better this time, he didn’t waste any time by calling 911, but just brought him into the emergency room himself.
“Is he gonna live, Doc?”
“Well, he might have had a chance–until you field dressed him…”
bmonk almost 15 years ago
@cleo, I just invoked you over at Pibgorn. (Comment 141). Hope you don’t mind…

GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Hey! “The Dinette Set” appears to have been dropped mid-day. Anybody notice that?
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
JFri I have never liked weeding, but today was kind of nice, perfect temps and I am now having to take over more of the yard since LilG is working more.
Dry, yes this avatar suits my general attitude about life.
The Duke 1 almost 15 years ago
Hi, Dry & Grog! cleo, here is my Rx for you. One snifter containing a double shot of Bookers. What kind of work does LiG do if I may ask?
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Grog, it’s not showing on Gocomics at all.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
JFri thanks for the Bookers, it hits the spot as usual. LilG is a Nurse Delegator. She works with adult family homes as needed, going in to delegate tasks that need a nurse to do or to instruct the caregiver as to how to do a procedure. It pays well and is perfect for her with her disability. She does not need to walk great distances or be on her feet for long periods of time. It is a new field in this state and she got in on the ground floor, so to speak.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I know. That was rather sudden. No warning. I’ll miss marg finding “it” for us.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Me too, Grog. I just started reading that about a month ago and posting there just recently.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
I see that it is still on other sites to at least see it daily if one wants to.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
For anyone interested, the Dinette Set IS listed at comics.com
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I’ve added it to my home page there.
The Duke 1 almost 15 years ago
Sounds like a good deal for her, cleo
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
The Dinette Set” is also on Yahoocomics or it was anyway.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Dinette Set was in my email for today, but when I clicked on add comment it took me to my home page. It would be nice if they would tell us why they dropped a strip. It wasn’t one of my favorites but I did get a kick out of it.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
JFri, it is perfect for her and she really enjoys her work. Plus she is able to get all the work that she wants.
The Duke 1 almost 15 years ago
Have another Bookers!
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Wow, Dinette Set was on my list of daily comics, now it isn’t even listed in the Alphabetical list. It is odd to drop a comic without explanation.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
JFri, don’t mind if I do. When do you make your way home? You have been gone quite awhile.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Can I have a Bookers, too? Please?
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Dry, the same thing happened to me. Like you say, it wasn’t one of my favorites, but sometimes the details added were amusing, possibly distracting people from the characters’ dialogue. Which may not have been such a bad thing.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Grog, Yeah, but the sad part is, there are people out there like that!
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Dinette Set had characters that I am glad that I don’t have for friends. It made for an interesting and mildly amusing strip. Well, I guess my day of cartoon reading has been decreased slightly.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago

Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Cleo, but it would be nice if they would give a heads up, esp to paying members.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Yep. That’s why I appreciated all the extra details. I think it helped me to avoid teeing off on our “zeros” on a daily basis.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Dry I put a variation of a Kelly’s Heroes line on “Rubes”
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Grog, our zeroes?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Grog, our zeroes?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Grog when and where? Nothing from you on there that I saw, I just checked..
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
My spell check told me it was zeros. Yes zeros, meaning not our heroes.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Grog never mind, I found it at Rubes. LOL!
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Actually it accepts both spellings. hmmm.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Didn’t Carrol O’Conner say that line?
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
It was Oddball. They had to change meeting times because the boys had “somethings special planned for tonight” “Crap” Game says “What could be more special than 16 Million bucks “You stick around, “Crap” Game and you’ll find out. Kelly says, “Alright then tonight’s out. Same time tomorrow night. If you’re late…” “If we’re late, it’s because we’re dead.”
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I can’t believe “Crap” got bleeeped.

The Duke 1 almost 15 years ago
Dry, you KNOW i will Tivo it!! Enjoy the Bookers!
Grog, cool story. Best I can do is I saw Bruce Wilis at a USC football game.

Hi Tribe!
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
JFri, while on business in New York in the late 70’s, I went to a sports bar down there. I was in a 3-way conversation with Bob Berry who was then coach of the L.A. Kings and a coach from the NBA who I can’t recall. Berry would later go on to coach the Canadiens.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
It was quite common to go to Montreal sports bars and see stars of the Canadiens before and after games. Larry Robisnon, Gob Gainey and Guy Carbonneau quickly come to mind. You could even see some of the Expo players there on occasion, Particularly Andre Dawson.

GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
LW18, It’s already spring break down here. It makes for more pleasant drives into work. Unfortunately, it’s not quite the same going home. I think everyone’s heading to Galveston.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
I have no kids and no spring break, but I am thinking of having LilG do a dance number for me. I’m sure she won’t mind shaking her booty.
carmy almost 15 years ago
Grog, my Papa Daddy was born in Galveston. He was there when they had the BIG hurricane in early 1900’s.
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago
My Spring Break starts next week. I’m looking forward to it.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Carmy, I think I have seen both of those, I know I have seen The Dirty Dozen, but it was a long time ago. Is Kelly’s heroes the one with Donald Sutherland, where they find the gold? If it is, then I have seen that one too, but it also was a long time ago.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
LW18, that is a shame, I had my spring break two weeks ago.
carmy almost 15 years ago
Johnny, you are correct. You haven’t seen Dry, Grog and Hymenoxis yapping about Kelly’s Heroes? They’ve been hilarious!
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago

cleokaya almost 15 years ago
My spring break goes from one LilG assignment to the next.
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago

GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Johnny, at least LW18 still has it to look forward to. Eastwood, Sutherland and a great supporting cast do go behind German lines for a Bank heist of 16 million bucks in gold bars. See today’s comments tor a summary of some of the best lines.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago

LuvH8, just in case you’ve popped in after I’m gone, did you do your HAPPY DANCE to “The Surfin’ Bird?”. After all “The Bird is the word.”
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Carmy, I was busy this past weekend, so I missed all the chatting. I would like to see both of them again, but I can’t sit still through a whole movie very often. For my spring break, I had my wisdom teeth out on Monday and worked Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday for a total of 48 hours. I’ve had more relaxing breaks, but I still enjoyed this one.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
*Dry *, I have a word for you… Don’t ask.

yes Johnny Kelley’s Heroes has Donald Sutherland, Clint Eastwood, Don Rickles, Carrol O’Conner, Telly Savalas, and many more great actors. and yes, the gold! The GOLD!! The GOLD BARS! What a COOL movie! Seen it a bizillion times and love it more each time!
cleokaya almost 15 years ago

Though he had a small part, Sutherland was funny in “Animal House” - sort of Oddballish.
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago
I like Kiefer Sutherland also.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Heavy Metal is a headache, loud heavy metal is a big headache. Carmy, it wasn’t that bad after Wednesday, and I was back on solid food (sort of) by Thursday. I think it would have gone better if I hadn’t been allergic to the pain killers they gave me. I did not help myself by pulling out two of the stitches on my own either.
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago
Well I love Heavy Metal but if it disturbs anyone. I will put in my headphones. I do respect everyone here.
carmy almost 15 years ago
Big ouch, Johnny! Are you all okay now? When I was expecting daughter #2, a root canal that I had done months earlier became infected. Since I was preggers they really couldn’t give me anything, except some to fight the infection. My left cheek was so swollen. Once the swelling went down the dentist (he wasn’t the same one that did the botched root canal) gave me the option on whether to redo the root canal or pull it. I said, pull it!
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
LW18, I will admid to owning some Shanaya Twain, but that’s about as C&W as I get. I also have that song from “Smokey & the Bandit”, “East bound & Down” Love that song. I prefer rock & Blues. I do like AC-DC, Zep, Queen, Aerosmith from the heavier bands. But I like various music from the ‘50’s on up.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Good Evening Everyone
I have been setting up Wolfangil’s laptop for her. Putting different programs, applications & games on it and such. Fun fun.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Geez Grog, is that alphabet for your movies? Ouch Carmy! I hate having anything done to my teeth, and they always seem more sensitive than the rest of me. I was actually fine with the wisdom teeth, until I had to work, that was unpleasant, but I am fine now.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
LW18, I doubt I’d be able to hear your music even if we were in the same room, I like my music loud too.
carmy almost 15 years ago
Johnny, yeah, my teeth are very sensitive too.

Grog, I’ll listen to just about any kind of music, but Heavy metal and pop are my number one and two.

Yes, Johnny. 413 and counting, most of which are classics made before 1960.

Hello, Lonewolf Good to see you.

Grog, my collection is like a fraction of what your is!
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago
I also loved the Eastbound and Down song from Jerry Reed from The Smokey and The Bandit Movie.

I don’t have any movies. Grog, do you have any Hitchcock? That is some good stuff.

Carmy, I’m a serious collector, so don’t feel bad. (And I’m sure you don’t).
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
As for music, I have two rules, and they are related: 1) I don’t like almost anything that has come out during my lifetime. (The list of exceptions is growing though.) And as a result, 2) My favorite bands have at least one founding member who has died. Morbid yes, but it works for me.

Yes, I do, Johnny. I have a good number of them. I think I ranked my top 6 on the weekend, but they would include Notorious, Rebecca, Saboteur, North By Northwest, Suspicion & Rear Window if I remember correctly.

Good Night Johnny Sorry I didn’t get your question answered before you went.

Goodnight Johnny!

Grog have you seen Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo.
carmy almost 15 years ago
Grog, Rear Window is a good one! Well, actually they all are.

Can’t beat the great classics.
carmy almost 15 years ago
Shika should really consider patenting her “Shika Move.”
carmy almost 15 years ago
OOPS, forgot to add, hee hee hee to that!
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Carmy, I hope not. I’ve pulled it a couple of times, myself. But I often hit the refresh button after I’ve posted and find that I missed a post before mine I must respond to.

It’s not a act that is unique to Shika. I’m sure we all have done it. Come on, admit it to yourself…and then admit it to us.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I can’t believe the St. Patrick’s Day collection doesn’t include any “Red & Rover”. I’ve got 4 strips in my own collection from that one.
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago
Shika is an original.
carmy almost 15 years ago
Grog, of course I’ve come back and added something after the fact. It’s like a Columbo thing. I meant that since some of say we’re making a “Shika Move”, that she should cash in on that. You do know that I’m only joking, right?
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Of course, I do Carmy However, I’m sure Shika didn’t invent the move. People have been pulling Shika’s since long before Peter Faulk was born! :^))
