Good Morning, Ladywolf. I have two cars to work on today, but I’m here for a little while yet,

Montana Lady & Montana Man have a great anniversary what an accomplishment. I and hubby are lacking. 29 years for us past April I saw that cuttie of a kitten and know there are ones who comment thought they like it. I really missed going to church today. Our senior pastor and family are on vacation in CA visiting with their sister, daughter and aunt. Today children’s pastor and children have the church. We tried last year and it’s fine for ones with children. Last Sunday fullest we seen our morning service a former retired pastor visited and because of health really has taken a toll on him and with him his wonderful wife, and good friends. Everyone gave a brief hello and welcome to him.

I’m here off and on.

Ladywolf I hope your enjoying your summer break. I realize you help with babysitting the younger ones, and help with grandma, there I think your great and family appreciates this.

I won’t be on to much myself. We here missed out on the rain yesterday Rmom had in her area and ones out further west of us. It’s so dry here city is watering plants to get them alive. And here I though with leaves browning meant fall is coming thought where in a hot-dry summer.

It so dry here in Southern California. We have yet to have a good rain come.

Okay, I tagged and bookmarked photobucket. I’ve never uploaded anything, so I hope it has a ‘how do do’ section. I’ll check it out over the week and see what I can do.

Meantime lazy Sunday. Gathering clothes together to do the wash. Our new VP of the NAG territory sent out an email advising it’s so bleeep hot we can dress comfy all of August. T-shirts, sneakers, etc, just no Daisy Dukes or other outrageous stuff.

Anyway, I’m just cruisin’ along, glad to be wearing comfy shoes. My ankle’s still bad and in the brace and my rash on my shin is not better. I’m seeing the doctor tomorrow about it and a few other issues.

And my car’s a/c is out, so days I can have the Focus are ones I wear slacks, and days I have my car (a Saturn) I dress as little and loose as possible.

Plans!……..No not really, I’m waiting for my cousin Ally to get here.

I spent so many years driving without airconditioning in the car that I tend to forget I even have it. Then a month or two later I do the Duh! thing.

So how about you Big Sister, Anything exciting happening for you today?

Well, here in the armpit of the universe it is muggily hot, though not as hot as it can be in Houston/Galveston area of Texas.

I’m sure my doc will help me, especially as he is a she. She’s very nice, listens, offers advice, regulates my problem areas like blood pressure, etc. I’ll be sad when we move back to Texas, she’s pretty uncommon.

Got the wash started. Yeesh. Washer/dryer’s in my closet along with the water heater. I suspect the place was retrofitted.

Oh, that’s nice to have a good female doctor. You never have to bop them in the nose.

I need to do wash when I get home. Right now I am at my Mom’s in case Gma needs anything. Then I should do some cleaning……….. but I will probably watch more of the first season of The Addams Family. I only have it a week.

I have a pile of movies to watch but here I sit on the computer watching ‘Ancient Aliens’ as I chat and put together a puzzle. I really need to be in the kitchen, but I’m just so *&$#&% tired.

I need to work on my jewelry, too. Maybe tonight as I watch Ice Road Truckers. ….

It’s easy to be on the computer. Then look at the time and realize you have been on for 3 hours. I’m usually tired when I should be doing something in the kitchen or cleaning. Think I have an illness?

Ya LuvH8, it’s called being a lazy (fill in the blank). I’m not a founding member by any means, but I think I get high marks for my level of laziness.

Lazy _, hmmmm. That could be it. Nah! I am sure I could find another excuse if I wanted to put the effort into it.

Well I hate doing chores as well, but because I’m a person that likes things to be very sanitary., I find myself cleaning. I just can’t stand looking at messes.

Neither can I. What I hate worse is the mess getting cleaned up and as soon as the guys get back/come out, it’s messed up again.

I hate that too and I usually scream every obscenity known to man.

Of course that is a very rare occasion.

Oh man, something happened on my jigsaw, it suddenly went to bright, false colors. Really weird, couldn’t undo it so I closed w/o saving and will start….sniffle over….sob

Meantime, time to put clothes in drier and load up towels. Mebbe I’ll start some rice pudding….

How’s Taffy doing?

Pots/pans washed, dishwasher loaded, rice pudding on stove. Butt in chair. Life is good.

Taffy’s ok. She still bites when she plays and it’s kinda hard to make it look like ‘bad stuff’ is coming from somewhere other than me when I have to use the spray bottle with the other hand. She’s getting big, and beautiful.

My chihuahuas like to play bite too! and it hurts after awhile, so I have to discipline them in a stern voice and tell them ”NO BITING”.

I need to do that immediately, but they’re so CUTE!

I do say ‘no’ in a stern voice, and ‘good kitty’ in a soft, soothing voice when she stops and starts licking or bopping otherwise w/o teeth. She’s just a bundle of energy…I think as she gets older and calms down it will get better.

Yes they are cute at that age and it is fun to watch them play.

She can bounced straight up and sideways by just flexing her paws & ankles. No crouching down and springing up. From a standing position in an instant.

Ooops, clothes are done, and rice pudding is baking. No rest for the wicked.

Grog, please fix me an eggbeater with a muffin, some COFFEE and I will finish off with a square of Dark chocolate with almonds for afterwards. Yummmm!

hopeandjoy The vast majority of us met at the Big Top. We’re the Tribe, not only do we have a marvelous virtual breakfast with other stuff during the day, we can sound off here and vent so we don’t do bodily harm to friends, coworkers or family members.

The original biblical phrase is “no peace for the wicked”. Somehow that got mutated to “no rest for the wicked” and then “no rest for the weary” - unless there’s some other literary avenue (such as Shakespeare) I dont know about and which has a direct quote.

(Isaiah 48:22 NKJV) “There is no peace,” says the LORD, “for the wicked.”

(Isaiah 57:21 NKJV) “There is no peace,” Says my God, “for the wicked.”

As alternatives, here is what I got when I searched for “rest” and “weary” together.

(Job 3:17 MKJV) There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest;

(Isaiah 28:12 MKJV) To whom He said, This is the rest; cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing. Yet they were not willing to hear.

(Lamentations 5:5 MKJV) We are pursued on our necks; we grow weary; rest is not given to us.

The only other derivative possibility I can think of is here:

(Matthew 11:28 NKJV) Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

(Matthew 11:29 NKJV) Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

hopendjob2 I myself can tell you found out about BT last year but with so many people I shied off from this strip, not till months ago I started and EVERYONE made me feel welcome. Taught me about Photobucket, and that took some time. I don’t feel apart of the Tribe per say since they are the ones how originated this. They have been very nice to me. I so appreciate this. I do have fun with Photobucket but I try very hard to find small pictures and that is not easy. I have also deleted some of my comments as takes too much room.

I live in KS SW of Wichita and we didn’t get the rain SE or NW got. Just very hot 100 degree temps.

Here and around Wichita and surrounding counties school here starts 16th August, A few years ago tax payers approved of bond issues to add A/C to all schools, not school buses. Also one school that was a main stay for more then 40 years is being replaced by another company with new name and changes. I’m not sure if it’s okay to say the name.

Not here more on seatbelts. Students could lower windows down. I had to ride school bus going to HS. Walked to grade and MD S.

I wish Gocomics would put some newer comics on like Zitts that radical teenager, parents can relate, Blondie and Dagwood, a few more Jump Start.

It’s not close to me so I’m fine.

I’ve always liked the comic Mutts and wish that they would add that here.

Which type of Mutts are you talking about? there is Mutt and Jeff and that is very old.

I read “Mutts” at the Houston Chronicle site where I can also see “Bizarro” and “Funky Winkerbean”.

hi Montana Lady let me echo the congratulations i posted earlier. it’s 12:55am in my neck of the woods but i know it’s still pre-midnight in Montana. my folks had 54 years together before Mom passed away. their love was an enduring thing that was beautiful to be a part of. i would imagine that you and your husband have the same thing together. all too rare these days.
