Everyone needs to be cautious when it’s hot like this. The ironic thing is….when the heatwave comes they drop like flies in the upper tier of states (Chicago & New York City come to mind) where it’s only really hot 2-3 weeks

I got to sleep in this a.m., and I’m ready for Lonewolf’s breakfast!

A bunch of years ago, when we were traveling in Alaska, we came upon a Mexican restaurant in Fairbanks. They put out the chips and salsa. Chips were fine, but the salsa was made with KETCHUP with a few onions thrown in!!!!!! Can you believe!!!

Well, so much for getting here at The Usual Time. But thanks for that whacking does of Starbright’s Divine CocoMocha (with added cinammon).

The schedule on this end’s been a little freaky of late: bringing me to bed at 2 AM, sometimes whether I plan it that way or not. That means I have to turn off my alarm at 7 AM and then go back to sleep ‘til 10, ‘cause there’s just no way I’m going to go through the day feeling like a zombie and trying to eat the brains of random passerby.

Being able to set one’s own schedule is a two-edged sword, as you can see… especially for anyone who has P as the last letter of his or her MBTI code (like this ENFP).

True to form for “us ENFPs”, some of “us” have come up with various lunatic acronyms, my favorite being “Expected Not to Follow the Plan”. How vewy, vewy twue. :))

A friend sent me the original graphic for today’s avatar, as mentioned, and true to form I just got too impatient to put it up on Sunday. Maybe it should be the logo (I mean for commercial sale) for Doctor Toon’s World Famous Nuclear Coffee. What d’y’all think???

Good afternoon all. Had a busy morning got away from the house. We missed out on a vicious storm last night, thought for sure we get some rain the clouds where formed then suddenly fell apart. Futher north of us hour away there was a worse one with high winds of 90 I believe tore up trees and power lines effected one of the schools. And school locally and around starts Mon and Tues. Depends on grade.

Hello everyone. I made it back before the rain….its looking really threatening but so far nothing.

Got some beads and did a little grocery shopping for this week. Running off to make some supper. Various assorted frozen veggies in spaghetti sauce. I’ll roll some in to the BT buffet table along with a couple dozen Krispy Kreams

Since others are off doing things, I have emails to catch up on and I might not be on later. All enjoy your evening. I also have to see about future books that can be used see if I can keep cost down. I doubt if I get to see meteor shower after midnight need sleep worse. At least its Saturday.

Good evening everyone things go interesting here. I can’t speak for Rmom or another that lives closer but we lost power for an hour. Hubby used his time to pick stickers to trash, I went to lower level where it’s cooler. Top it off weather keeps threatening rain here been having thunder but moves over further south of us. Go figure we need rain here trees are dying so is grass. Tired of paying extra for water. Starting to cool down here though I don’t want it near 65 degrees.

Quaby are there still left overs. Some maybe getting hurgry at BT. Well I gotta go check on something else. And durn computer was slow now speeding up I guess computer sensed power outage coming who knew.

If apple sauce is a sauce what do you put it on? Why do so many people it by itself? If you walked in and ordered a bowl of pizza sauce or alfredo sauce, you would get strange looks.

Sojo are you one of those fancy-shmancy food people? You make up the strangest combinations. Now pineapple& jalepeno fritters sound normal.

Pineapple & jalepeno fritters would be good. Almost anything would be good to me. There are some things things I’ve tried I can’t stand but I won’t mention those as I don’t want to be banned from here for even mentioning them.

And I really wouldn’t like my stomach turned so quickly after dinner. Today I bought some Bugles for the first time in years….That’ll be my after dinner snack soon along with some sour cream and onion dip.

I dunno about that, Ladywolf, The few times I’ve been on late haven’t been close to turnover. I would probably freak if I had to come up with something near as good as ya’lls menus.

There still leftover spaghetti sauce + veggies. It’s home made sauce, too. Enjoy. I’m rolling out a couple of tubs of ice cream, too.

Just finished watching Avatar, my hubby got it for my birthday. And for a belated present the apartment complex presented me with notification of pest control on Monday. No more puttering about the kitchen, time to get serious.

So I’ll be popping in here and there. Rain fizzled out and it looks like it’s pretty much over for the evening. Yesterday, though, we were a mile from the worst of the weather. It can be scary when you’re not sure where a location is in the area (only been here 10 years), but it’s even more scary when you not only know the location but you know it’s d—-m close and coming your way.

Grog - After seeing your photos I was reminded of the time I got to ride in the cab of a steam locamotive. It had a lot more shaking and vibration than you would think. (Changes subject.)

I have taken some Chinese cooking classes, studied India and Middle East cooking along with other types of cooking. I could come up with some ideas later to give someone to post but won’t be able to do it myself until and if I get a laptop to use from my bed.

I like scrambled eggs with bacon and Bush’s baked beans. I think I’ll make that for breakfast tomorrow morning. (no chocolate chips, but maybe some green pepper sauce)

That sandwich that a friend liked was from the early 70’s and may of had a lot to do with other things that were going on at that time.

By the way, you said some things aren’t better with chocolate. I will agree that some things may not be good even with chocolate, but are better with the chocolate than they would be without it! :-)

Grog - I agree with the spice. I prefere Chinse Hot Mustard to hot peppers. I have eaten Dave’s Insanity Sauce by itself. Supposed to add one drop at a time to a recipie to keep from making it too hot. It is the only sauce to be permanetly banned from the International Hot Sauce Competition because it is too hot! Due to a medical problem I can no longer eat hot spicy food because I can’t keep it from going into my lungs but the virtual menu would avoid that!

I figure if I ever get caught as 1st at turnover I’ll just throw Krispy Kreams, Doc’s coffee, sodas and juice at everyone to buy some time to create the menu.

I’m almost through with the pink necklace. 2” to go. If I ever see pink again it will be a year too soon. My eyes cross whenever I work on it. So a quick shower and back to work on it. The last inches are always the longest.

I think I’ll have to have a float or ice cream soda tomorrow.

Pop! Boy, y’all have been yakking a lot while I’ve been sitting in the dark. Storm rolled through, and took out our power for what? Maybe a couple of hours? Obviously, it is back on now, but I see more storms coming this way. With needing to get hubby packed for his business trip tomorrow, we need to make haste while we do have power. Hopefully, I’ll be on tomorrow, if lightning doesn’t fry something. Poof!

I just drink the prune juice (grudgingly). Keeps me regular and constipation-free.
