    About the name WiseFool:

    Word Origin & History

    sophomore

1688, “student in the second year of university study,” lit. “arguer,” altered from sophumer (1653, from sophume , archaic variant form of sophism), probably by influence of folk etymology derivation from Gk. sophos “wise” + moros “foolish, dull.” Short form soph is attested from 1778. Sophomoric “characteristic of a sophomore” (regarded as self-assured and opinionated but crude and immature) is attested from 1837. Online Etymology Dictionary, © 2010 Douglas Harper

Good morning Tribe. At least it’s morning for another 13 minutes.

I popped in very early this morning whilst things were quiet to take care of the leftover ribs. Hah! I may as well have continued to snooze. I haven’t seen cleaner bones since a trip to the museum. There were definite tongue marks on the plates and platters….and I’m not even gonna talk about the sparkling ‘shine’ on the carts. I wiped them down with kitchen wipes lest Hymosis faint upon entering and am preparing chicken fajita strips. Right now I plan on several types of sauces (Chinese, Korean, BBQ, etc) and lotsa fresh veggies for your own stir fry. I have the toppings and such, too:: roasted sesame seeds (white and black), chow mein noodles, dried cherries, various nuts and such. Just think Iron Chef and you get the idea.

    Time to pay bills. sigh

Another quiet afternoon under the Big Top.

Stir Fry sauces are simmering away…mmmmmmm. This will be a fix it your way. Just add the chicken, any veggies desired in amounts desired, some sauce and warm it all up in the wok (thoughtfully provided). It’s easy-peasy.

I’ve paid the bills, made it one more cycle.

Got to go make jewelry. My church is having the annual yard sale on 10/2 and the table is only $10. I have stuff here I could sell as well as my snowflakes and jewelry. Already my Ty Babies collection is on best behavior, knowing I have to thin the ranks. some are automatic keepers, like Flip, who is rare, others are just too bleeep big. ooops, there go some more wails. Of course, EMET, it might help if you spoke English like the rest of us around here… :P

Being a Hebraist after my fashion, I’ve always liked EMET (Truth, Faithfulness). You could stick with that.

Flour Power has an odd appeal to me, though. So does Hockey Puck, a name which Don Rickles undoubtedly would attach to you in a stick slap.

BE’EMUNATO (the very last word in Psalms 96) might be worth considering…

All this fuss about names and avatars. I just pick a name and a picture and run with it. I might change the avatar pic every once in a while, but not often.

The Ty babies I have are 98% cats. All kinds of cats. Sigh, hate to give them up, but life goes on.

I watched Fahrenheit 451. It’d been a while since I saw it and it was in its widescreen glory. Had a T-Storm go through, too.

I’m off to finish off the STIR FRY. But hey, the chicken’s separate….I’ll toss in some burritos, salsa and cheese so the Mexican Food Fiends can have at it. Some of the fixings are in coming with the Stir Fry.

    Hi Quaby!

Who’s fussing? Fads come and go. :)

It did take me an inordinate amount of time, however, to decide how I’d respond to this particular one. I’ve never been able to get my images on Photobucket to work here in open display (if anybody knows how, please let me know), so I had to upload the dozens and scores of button graphics I now have to a special folder on my personal Web site. This page can handle the addresses generated thereby.

So I decided in the end to keep my long-standing moniker and return to my long-standing avatar, the better not to confuse anybody (there is such a thing as brand naming and brand loyalty, doncha know). And now I have the added benefit of being able to “add color” with graphics after the fashion of some others here.

Back when I made the comment there were several going back and forth about names and avatars. I was trying to say I can’t do that, I keep it simple bleeep otherwise known as KISS.

I gotta get back to the necklace. It’s hard for me to see the holes, my eyes have gotten bad. But 3 weeks of plasma donation and I had the co-pay and I high tailed it over to my eye doctor. Retina’s fine (I have that big floater from last summer), blind spot’s a tad bigger but nothing to panic about yet, distance vision is worse, reading vision is better but my astigmatism is much worse (two steps, levels or somesuch). My glasses give normal people headaches in 3 seconds or less.

When my kids boy and girl 3 years age difference got their DL we told them not to give rides. Our daughter did more then her brother. We told other parent’s be forewarn once teenager gets DL becomes non paying taxi cab. I got the strangest look. We told them other kids would use them for free rides and use your gas money. Not our never happen. We always wondered. Also late nights getting home from where ever they went to especially teenage daughter. Roof raised a lot.

That was his stage name he died 30 years ago. Had a daughter that was a rodeo queen. I think she rode around barrels. I can see if I can google him. I know most are used to ones now days. Red Skelton did many type of clowns. Would never mean to hurt anyone just wanted laughter. Special guest on his show back then would crack up. Sometimes animals would upstage him.

Kab I think we should decorate tomorrow after Little Sister gets off work. Unless… actually. Does Tuesday afternoon work for you? I won’t be here during the day tomorrow.

Here (via YouTube) is how Red Skelton handled:

    The Pledge of Allegience (serious)

A long list of comedy skits

Who knew there was a Red Skelton Clown School?
