We just came in from stargazing, and had an exceptional night!!!!

There was this HUGE meteorite coming in from the northwest, straight down…………it had a VERY wide, bright gold tail, and a VERY large bright green ball. When it broke up, it had a HUGE bright white flash………

    This was sooooooooooooo exciting!!!!!!

We’ve finally started taking our camera with us when we go into town…..never fails, there is something noteworthy to shoot whenever we don’t have the camera with us…….soooo….it’s now right there with the cell phone when we leave the house!!!

POP! Another busy day in the life of a mom…. I’ve got to leave shortly to take a son to his tutoring session. While I’m in ICT, I’ve got to go to Lowe’s and buy another door lever. No, nothing wrong with the one I bought yesterday. I just thought I’d take the old knob off that door, and put it on another exterior door that has been sticking. However, the old one isn’t adjustable, and the distance to the strike plate isn’t the same. I also need to drop off an antique tool that was my Dad’s, at my sister’s house. Our brother is working on it, and wants to borrow the plane. I’ve got more errands, but no time to bore you with the details. POOF!

hopeandjoy2…..we sit out on the deck in back facing East, North and West. That is, if it’s not a full moon that washes out the sky. The sky is incredibly black, and you can see SO much!

If it’s a full moon, we sit on the front porch, and face south primarily, and with the city/valley lights, you hardly see stars. But, we face the airport about 20 miles away, and watch the planes land. There are only about 5 flights before midnight.

What you saw is special, although it’s does occur a lot it’s rare to see it. Several times I’ve gone out of the city to watch meteor showers. Once there was supposed to be a large one but it was overcast. About 11 p.m. I got a friend and we went north where there was supposed to be a clear sky. We could see large flashes through the clouds and knew there were a lot of large metors. After almost a hundred miles we finally hit a clear spot. It was fantastic and we got set up as quickly as possible. However the temp. dropped to the dew point overhead and suddenly the sky became overcast within 5 min. We continued to go north seeing large flashes through the clouds but gave up trying to find another clearing when we were almost to Nebraska. Turned around and got home about sunrise.

Good afternoon Tribe looks like it’s a good day overall for members of our little group.

I’m back from the yard sale. Made about $80, mostly Ty beanie babies and pewter figurines.

Breakfast kept me going until nearly 3pm, when I stumbled home and started devouring my Hardy’s chicken tenders, upsized to large this time. I am very tired, but not knowing how the rest of the day will go (my ankles are already saying ‘Stand? I think not”) I figured I’d drop in and give the good news. For me better news is I had told myself 10% was going to the fund for some great Christmas anthems. It”s not much, but it’ll help with the shipping costs.

So off I go to LaLa land. Perhaps I’ll see you later.

With help of Rmom on discussion topics I type for spelling and grammar check that has helped. Test 2 with same time restraints did different did get at least one wrong but notice my scores up better. Our mom thinks when we talk about her not driving she thinks were saying she has a mental problem. We tell her drivers are different now. This main thorough road south of her they drive faster now. I think police here locally wait until someone has a car accident then ticket who ever gets hit. Strange part is right accross the main road south of her block away is fire department and police substation.

Believe this Louisana with disaster money from Fed, and this should be a crime agains Louisana, is trying to lure this local aircraft company there. Means workers will either have to relocate or who loose rest of employees 7,000 or more. This will hurt. Where I work at due to budgets some wondered if there would be lay-offs.

Place I work at not union. I don’t think Grog and know Doc Toon isn’t, Lonewolf self employed. Others might be retired. Saucy I doubt is union. Union does have good points. My hubby years ago was union stewart and nover violated any one rights. Nor gave anything away.

This guy is not serving time for defrauding investers and other realted charges. Did same thing in TX and Kansas City. This former amusement park goes up for aution. Even former Johnny Wester entainment center went up for auction all part of theme park. Johnny Western has moved to AZ to conitnue and be with chilren and grandchildren.

Boy have we got a conundrum. My hubby is finishing up a course that is the prerequisite for the course starting up 10/4. The final was to be available starting yesterday, and he would need the printed certificate to be eligible (and get his vouchers ) for the next course. Today the college website said it would be available 10/4…….naturally on a Saturday they say this and no one in a position of knowledge and/or authority is available. Right now option #1 is for me to wake him up Monday morning when I get up for work…..but there’s just one problem, I’m on vacation next week. But it’ll work up, even if I have to set my alarm Sunday night (I’m not sure if he has an alarm clock, need to ask him).

Sigh….welcome to the land of Hope and Change. He’s been unemployed almost 2 years, I don’t know how many more changes I can take.

Speaking of bad drivers or dangerous driving situations… We were on I 80 in Nebraska for a while and it is truck heaven. Cars are always dashing in and out wanting to get past trucks and not always being safe in choices of when.

KABI was not speaking of putting spray into your nose, but breathing in a moist environment as being soothing. Even drinking a cup of tea and breathing vapors, I find pleasing but may not be “your cup of tea” :’)

    Good luck with your tests.

Not great for Wichita. hopeandjoy2 I know you said shower spray or vapors form tea or hot drinkl, isn’t that for head colds? I don’t have a head cold.

The Sojourner Hawker Beachcraft has been heading that way or elsewhere this past year. Reason I didn’t type name of aircraft Com. didn’t know I could for public forum. The CEO started backpeddeling when news caught wind of what they wanted done. First choice was Mexico now this. Miss use of Federal Funds. Some one should be in trouble.

Hawker and Louisana should get in trouble using Federal money ment to help them. Union talks came to a halt. I use nasal Dr. told me what to use sometimes it works and flushes. For me I don’t know what a head cold is like, seriously, allergies usually turn to sinus infection. And yesterday I was in pain. I’m taking Z to calm drainage down with Alergra D. But only towards bed time.

    Good Saturday Evening, Tribeandall

Lewreader, I got to see part of the last of the Red Sox/Yankees games I will see this year. All I can say is we’ll have to wait ‘til next year.

As for for the Texas/Oklahona game, I don’t really care who wins, as long as it’s a good game.

Now when it comes to the game I’m currently watching, I hope ‘Bama totally anihilates the Gator nation.

I will not get to see Notre Dame/BC, but the Irish will probably lose anyway.

I do now, I don’t khow why, but to help be for one side I tend to go against any team from Florida so I can be for someone. No reason, I just want to be for a side if I watch it as being neutral negates a reason for watching it!

Hi, tribe! Second day in a row, that I only got the comics and not the comments (other than here) read. Oh, well! I tried to get a new ringtone on my cell phone. Ended up going to the att store, and they couldn’t do it either, since we bought my phone on ebay. Guess when it got “unlocked” from whatever network it was on originally, causes this problem. But other than that, it was a good day. Hubby & son got more siding put up. I don’t think this side will get finished before winter, but at least the basement didn’t leak in the carpeted area that last really bad hail storm we had, so that’s good. It is a big area to do - 30’ wide, and 37’ high - one door & one window. At least until they get up to the gable section, they won’t have to make any tricky cuts.

Hello again. I tried to go to sleep after yesterday of crashing, hubby is so tired and loud he fell asleep fas. Grog you don’t like that Humma commercial where grandkids think grandparent are so cool. I know mine don’t think their grandparents then when they where little was to cool. Now their adults grandma is definatly not cool. My last surviving grandma I don’t think was to cool. She’s been gone decades ago. Grandpa, my mom’s dad, like to tease us, his wife my mom’s mom wasn’t close to her and she didn’t want mom around. So therefore that Humma for seniors with grandkids is funny.

Rmom when you read this, at my mom’s house insurance wouldn’t pay for storm damage, though complimented my brother-n-law for roof work done said he did excellent job. Storm tore off a section of siding at utility room it was horrible mold had built up real fast whole sections deteriorated badly. Door that is connect to utility room wouldn’t open had to beef up from floor to celling due to sagging. I told my mom if others had seen this wonder if they would tear complete down. She made comments from past after she is gone tear house down. Mom is still going strong except for sinus and house is deteriorating fast. She has infection in face muscles.
